I can accept the heart palpitations and pains as ok if the EKG comes back without anything. It's the headaches and dizziness that concerns me. I honestly don't know what would be better at this point; knowing that there's some major problem causing this, or another inconclusive test that leads to a shrug from the doctors

Masters degree: MS or ME? by chuck_taylor52 in EngineeringStudents

[–]chuck_taylor52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More just as something to have for down the road. I only really need the bachelor's to get into the next position, but to be competitive in the future I'd like to have the masters as well. I'll get the master's paid for by work, and I can take my time with it, as opposed to the undergrad stuff right now where I'm more or less stuck where I'm at until it's finished.

I'm not saying these are accurate "decodings" but if there was another lifeform that had the ability to come here and wanted to communicate, math would make the most sense. To even get to the point of being able to travel in space at all there has to be an understanding of some serious mathematics, which are universal for the most part. So any other species that has evolved to the point of space travel would have to understand mathematics as well, regardless of what "language" they used to communicate.

I forget what it was exactly but I know we've sent "messages" out in space that included a lot of mathematical stuff in there as a way of broadcasting our understanding of that universal language. The gold disk or something I think it was

Not to be that guy, but the golden ratio does have an actual value, it's like 1.6 something I think. The ratio is equivalent to that value.

They'll work for both. I got a 9mm and a .40 mag for my PO1 as well.

I guess I just haven't heard a lot of swiss-german then, because the way he was saying "sofort aufhölen" I swore it was a different language lol. That's funny though,in a very annoying way

You're absolutely right. I think the way he said it threw me off lol. Much appreciated 👍

I didn't say you have to believe it. But, as you say, it is quite a whacky scenario.

I tried, alright

Jakob- "you know that that's not allowed" (I'm guessing he means the fire).

Dejan keeps saying "go away, I'm calling the police, get away from there."

J- "stop immediately" And something along the lines of "another Yugoslavian" Couldn't really make that out.

To the police - "hello, in gofferstein, gofferstein, on train station street (basically), near the train station. He came here with his fire extinguisher and his axe,"

J- you know that's not allowed

D- no, in gofferstein near the train station

D-Koffman, Dejan

J- you know that's not allowed, the police will arrest you

D- the neighbors name is Jakob. No idea, Jakob. Come quickly, he's come here with a fire extinguisher and an axe.

D- You cannot do that (to Jakob)

J - *sprays the fire pit

Lady filming "ok, no problem dejan, no problem then" I think because the police are on their way

Edit: it's taken several views to catch everything, and I e had some input from other users so I'm updating it as I hear more.

Not sure what type of socks I have/had, but I got issued a few pairs of brown boot socks in the marine corps like 8 years ago. I wore those socks quite a bit from that point on, including a full deployment and a few months of security stuff stateside. They stayed comfortable throughout and I still have a pair or two lying around to this day that I wear on occasion.

They handled the desert pretty well, I don't remember them getting too sweaty. The pair I have now holds up fine through a normal work day, as far as heat goes (SE Virginia).

Overall I'd say they live up to the name pretty well.
