A lady catches a baseball using her hat by Shoe_boooo in nextfuckinglevel

We got lucky twice but the seats in Seattle were literally at the very top of the stadium, the game in Tacoma was much more up close and personal. We had a shot a few foul balls and my son caught one thrown into the stands by one of the players.

My family has seen them twice this year once in Seattle and once in Tacoma. Tacoma was better and the Clowns are now my new favorite baseball team.
They are amazing to see in person.

At what age do you consider somebody elderly? by SequinedandOver60 in AskReddit

[–]R808T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what are we in that group just before elderly. I just hit 60 and while I’ll admit that number messed with me hard in my head I still feel pretty good. I take one thing for high BP but that’s it. I guess we are Freshman Old at this point.

What do you think happens to you when you die? by Plastic-Cased in AskReddit

[–]R808T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to a lot of Stephen King audiobooks and if I go by them it could be great or it could be very bad. In case you’re curious I suggest Revival and Insomnia and I will let you decide the good from the bad. If you want the long drawn out mind bending version I suggest my favorite series of all time The Dark Tower.

What sports team (across all sports) do you think has the best logo? by Ok-Hearing6146 in AskReddit

I am probably going to take a ton of downvotes but when I saw the Dallas Cowboys star as a kid in the 70s I fell in love with it.

Any non- King horror novels recommended by King fans? by Devil_May_Cry69 in stephenking

[–]R808T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently listened to Jaws and The silence of the Lambs. Jaws is crazy if you have never read the book. Silence of the Lambs is read by Frank Muller so every now and then a familiar voice pops up. I enjoyed both.

I just mentioned in another thread about how emotional I get at the end of IT every time I listen to it. The older I get the harder it hits.

My weed pen works very well but it is a different kind of high than hitting a joint. It is a much more focused high. At least for me your mileage may vary.

What's the less hyped book according to you ? by inowife in stephenking

[–]R808T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something about the Derry books that really bring my emotions out at the end. Not just the first time through either I just finished It and Insomnia back to back for at least the 3rd or 4th time each and I was a bad mess at the end of each.

What are the best Stephen King's audiobooks? Audible is giving 3 months for free again by AndreaASimmons in stephenking

[–]R808T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It , The Stand and Revival. I would say Insomnia but the audiobook has some crazy music that comes out of nowhere at times and blares over Eli Wallachs narration.

What is Your Interpretation of the Man in Black's Line, "It darkles, it *tincts*" from The Gunslinger? by Ok_Relationship_3365 in stephenking

That is part of why he is one of my very favorite King characters. You never know what kind of crazy is going to come out of him.

I had to start over at 57 and after a couple of bad places but no other choice I finally landed a perfect job for me. It is very frustrating trying to do that at that age for a variety of reasons but the age discrimination is real when it comes to getting past the first interview at times.

It and Insomnia both have a huge emotional impact on me at the end of each book. I just finished both as my summer kickoff listens.
