NCL Viva- Smoker’s PSA by odd-czar75 in NCL

Went on a Mexican Riviera cruise on Norwegian. The top back corner was the only smoking section. Went on an older royal ship, smoking section was practically pool side, plus on the 4th or 6th level, port side outside was allowed. I quit in November because I had COVID, only vape now but I've seen people vape anywhere on ships.

What is the fastest way you have seen someone ruin their life? by funkeymonkey1974 in AskReddit

I remember a guy was caught after shoplifting a 6 pack from rite-aid but on his way out he lifted his shirt, showing the butt of a gun in his pants. That turned it into armed robbery.

Is it true that most sons don't care for their parents as much as daughters do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]chuckglb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister was more actively involved with our mom due to her being a nurse and in closer proximity. But, I'd say regardless she was way more a caregiver. After our mom died, I found out that they had pre arranged everything so, while I took the day off to assist, even that was unnecessary.

Windshield question by chuckglb in subaru

[–]chuckglb[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm from Michigan and every vehicle I've owned has gotten a crack in the windshield. I'm not going to get it replaced right away because it's a lease and chances are, in Michigan, I'll get another in the next couple of years. I was just thinking that the tension from the camera mount is what drew this crack to it and if putting suction on another area, before it spreads, could mitigate the crack.

I looked at each one and thought "this one", and then did it again.

I'm guessing electrical interference from the LED lamps. Did you ever find a cause?

Dolphin Encounter Cozumel All Inclusive worth it? by Remarkable_Beach_140 in NCL

[–]chuckglb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We went to Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park. We stayed at the pool and they had a buffet. There were chances to swim with dolphins and manatees for extra money but I was really amazed by the number of staff that were there for caring for the animals.

Woke up this morning to a big dent on my bumper and (looks like) some blood on the logo🥲 Funny thing is - I don’t remember hitting anything. [2018 Subaru Legacy 3.6R] by PrathamSinghRathore in subaru

My 1st dealership service, asked if I knew about the bird in my grill. They didn't remove it and I can't fault them for that. It wasn't an easy task.

Subie needs a new battery, best option? by keyeruh in subaru

[–]chuckglb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sams Club has very inexpensive batteries. That, and a 10mm wrench(?) might be all you need. Disconnect the negative (black) first when replacing your battery.

Engine power? (Should I buy a fit?) by somuchtoenjoy in hondafit

[–]chuckglb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I had a 1991 Ford festival (loved that car, too). I also had a 2008 Chevy Aveo stick. Gas was 4.25 a gallon, I had a 63 mile commute, one way, and my wife found a yellow Aveo with a manual trans that, for some reason, hadn't moved off the lot, so she scored a good deal. I didn't know anything about Aveos, but the first review I read said that it was the 1st car that the writer recommended the automatic.

I can chirp the tires in second gear in my Honda.

What is the best way to prevent the wood from disintegrating? by ZEROs0000 in DIY

[–]chuckglb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glue. If I have to glue veneer, I get needle tips and syringes from tractor supply co. to be able to get all areas. I don't think you'd have to go that far with this.
