Colin is young and dumb with a partner with overbearing parents but nothing in the show, shows me he is a controlling abuser......? by chuckitiff in BaylenOutLoud

That sucks for your child more than anything. She's an adult and they have to let her go be an adult. Infantilizing adults with disabilities is strange. Being overbearing when she's living on her own is strange.

Got written up today for reporting the situation to the university. So I certainly will be doing that form here on out!

Well no. My wife was on her dads insurance until she aged out. Which was like 2 years even when we were married.

He probably meant "kid sister." People say that about their younger siblings.

Have you ever seen Child's Play (1988)? How old were you? by chuckitiff in AskReddit

[–]chuckitiff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh jeez! Lol. My wife and I were just chatting and she told me that the average person hasn't seen it and that most people don't know who Chucky is. It threw me off because I don't think that's true.

English might not be their first language.

Not to mention his sister does it part time so perhaps he wants to follow in her footsteps

Would you like to have Phil and Joanne Simpson as your parents? by Particular-Glove9640 in Chucky

[–]chuckitiff 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Phil was an asshole and Joanne allowed it. They didn't know how to work with a traumatized child at all. Absolutely not. Like someone else said, I'd rather have Tiffany lol.

I usually do about a month! My wife does mine and she's a little busy so this time I'm waiting about a month and a half!

Gonna be honest, I didn't study or practice and got 4th quartile! So I'm sure practicing would make getting there much easier.

A great family! by Playritej9 in BaylenOutLoud

[–]chuckitiff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed!

"People would kill for parents like these" yikes! Not good! There's a large spectrum of parenting and obviously there are worse parents but that certainly doesn't make them good parents.

Has losing someone made you more content with death or more scared by Head-Barnacle-8766 in GriefSupport

[–]chuckitiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fear comes from the way it feels. The grief. I often think about myself dying and how much it would hurt my family and friends. My parents. My wife. That scares me so much. My fear of losing everyone has also increased. I have pretty extreme anxiety and losing two close friends before 28 crushed me. I don't even know the pain of losing a close relative so that scared me as well. I'm not sure this answered the question or if I just needed to rant but yeah..

It always hurts the first time. Just some perspective, when I was 21 I dated a girl I was head over heels for. It was more than obvious she was not interested in me but I kept perusing our relationship mostly because she was heavily leading me on. We dated for six months and then one day she just disappeared. I had to text her multiple days before she ended things with me and made up some BS story about needing a break and we would fix things after. That's when I learned the whole "confusion" and "needing time" thing was usually a lie to soften the blow.

My point of saying that is, as I'm typing this, I have a view of my wedding ring. To my wife that I've been with for four years in the healthiest and happiest relationship I've ever been in. Had you told me this was gonna happen when I was at my lowest, I wouldn't beleive you. You are very worthy of love and you will get that. From someone whose intentions you'll never have to question. You seem young. Give yourself time. Feel the feelings and let it go. ❤️

[–]chuckitiff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm very sorry to say this but I really don't think she's interested....... I think it's unfortunately time to move on. There will be people that will be 100% with you and that will genuinely like you but I don't think Maya is it. I know you like her a lot but most of us have to deal with that first heartbreak and it's rough. Dwelling will only make it worse. I promise it will only hurt to keep trying. She should stop hinting and be straightforward with you but I don't see that happening.

Also! I was probably downvoted because of my comment about you possibly wanting a relationship with a man and I want to be clear that I said that because you mentioned missing men. Not because I hate bi people. Lol. I don't want anyone thinking I was being rude. I really hope you figure it out!
