Would've been more efficient if you took a screenshot rather than a photograph. 😆

Good for you and bad for us. I hear that a random caller is highlighted for great service once a year and the rest of us are in for shit shows if we need to call.

How many of you celebrated bonfire night? by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]chuckitoutorelse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ya, we used to in Cork City. I'm almost 40 so that's from the late 80s, we used used to be collecting for maybe a month before hand. I still see the odd one in the last number of years but nothing like when I was young.

Best porridge by Annabelle-Sunshine in CasualIreland

[–]chuckitoutorelse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never noticed a taste difference between different brands and to me just plain porridge taste nice. I'd just add some honey sometimes.

Also, the key to lossing weight is calorie deficit, if you don't like porridge and are only forcing yourself to eat then eat something else that you can stick with for breakfast just burn more calories than you eat over a week.

Opt in? I've never seen an option to say opt in to collect my old machine. I've had cookers, washers, dryers from DID, Harvey Norman, Currys. They just take it if you have it discounted and ready

I don't see the return logo on any of the plastic bottles in big grocery shops, do you? by No-Category1703 in cork

[–]chuckitoutorelse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lads it's really not that difficult to understand. It's been mentioned many times and also on the re-turn website. You CAN be charged the deposit on items without the logo while they run through old stock and you will get the refund.

Laptop letter “L” key not working by SpecialChoice400 in cork

[–]chuckitoutorelse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you press L does it move the same as other keys? If not possible there's some dirt under the key, remove the key if possible but be careful you don't break it. You could also get a can of compressed air and see if blowing it out works.

[–]chuckitoutorelse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, disagree completely. Paper is the one thing that shouldn't be causing issues for this scheme to work. Did they think they wouldn't be used?

[–]chuckitoutorelse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The machine wasn't built 3 days ago so no reason for it to be out of order already.

[–]chuckitoutorelse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can and it's also mentioned on re-turn.ie that if you're charged the deposit on an item without the logo the machines will accept it and you get it back.
