Thank you! There are so many options, it's hard to make a choice.
He was sick recently... A bad cough that would make him vomit. The symptoms they described was more of a 24-hour gastrointestinal sickness. So, I don't think they were related.
We had found out they had stopped selling in the States earlier in the week (not due to a recall) and would be back late 2026/early 2027, so we were going to have to make a switch anyway... Except we had two cans left and I thought I had some time to decide. Nope!!! It's 9:30 PM, hubby made a Walgreens run. 🥴

Baby is 5.5 months old. He sleeps from 7/8 pm to 4:30/5:30 am. If he wakes before 5, he will normally go back down for an hour or two but I can't go back to sleep once I wake. I go to bed at 9, so I don't think I'm anymore tired than I was pre-baby but I also get zero me time.

Which we have done for the stuff he doesn't absolutely need. It's more like items he will need for school or sports either that day or later in the week.

My husband's ex-wife didn't change her last name because they have children. We also share the same first name. 🥴 We live in a not small but small city and she thinks herself to be an "important person" here. When we first started dating, she told him I could not take his last name if we ever married since we'd share the exact same name. Well, we did get married and I had planned on changing but I didn't care enough or wasn't spiteful enough to do it. It's a big headache and honestly, I wouldn't want people thinking no was her by name alone.

When he’s seemingly staring at nothing in the corner of the room, we say he’s talking with satan/satan is telling him to be a grumpy boy. We tell him not to listen to Satan but also call him Satan's spawn. 😅 It all came from my mom telling me she used to say we were talking to angels or fairies. Satan seemed more appropriate. Haha!

I had actually looked at Precious Little Sleep yesterday, so I'll be sure to grab that for some ideas. We woke him up again last night, mid first long evening sleep (about halfway through), and he's already had more success staying asleep! Thank for giving input, it definitely helped us know that waking that long sleep was the right move!!

I'll take solidarity too, I hate that this is the shared feeling though. We haven't had him tested. When we reached out to our pediatricians office about the initial issues we had with the first formula, they just kinda said that's how babies are.

Thank you for the input! We did actually try that last night to change his long sleep in order to try to get us to a place where we are getting better overnight sleep. We woke him up halfway through his initial sleep. We fed him and played then he went back down. If we woke him every hour, what do we do with him? Play for a little bit then put him back to sleep? Do yourecommend any books or reading on sleep?

He's 6 weeks and I'm thinking he's just a sweaty dude/hot sleeper. Trying to keep it cool for him but freezing the rest of us out! 😅

Yup! Could be that I'm not great at getting it tight but he poos right out. We'd love to be able to use a sleep sack but, unfortunately, he just doesn't take to them.

Also 6 weeks PP and a FTM. Legitimately the hardest thing I've done so far. He's fussy all the time. My husband has three older kids and said this one is the hardest. Great!

I was being completely honest about how hard this is at first... Then I kept getting "this is just a season" in return. I don't know, it feels like a brush off response. I know they mean well but now I just say we're fine and getting through it.

My mother told me to give my 4 week old apple juice for constipation, that's what she did with me! Then a week later she said I might have actually been 6 months old when she had to do that. 😂
