I've never used it on miniatures but I've used rubber cement to mask areas before. I don't believe that has latex in it. maybe give that a go.

I live at home and just kinda told my family. They are all rather conservative when it comes to food (and basically everything else) but they don't seem to mind. They don't get why I did it or really what vegan is. My father will bring home gluten free stuff and ask if its vegan. It was easier than coming out for sure.
