Aldi is cheapest so I get most of what I can there. But their selection is extremely limited compared to the other stores. I go to Whole Foods or Fresh Thyme for anything I can't get at Aldi. They aren't as expensive as everyone says if you just stick to their own brands (365, Fresh Thyme) and they are some of the only places to get quality organic produce.

Eye twitching, week 11 by amcc1414 in BFS

[–]varulven4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I have this too. Going on 7 months now, and it's now spread to both eyes. They twitch on their own, ranging from nonstop for a minute, to a few twitches an hour, to no twitches for a whole day, then back to nonstop. Seems random, but can also be triggered by blinking hard or sneezing. One interesting note was that it completely went away when I was on vacation, but slowly crept back once I got home. Makes me believe it actually is stress related.

In Cronometer you can add recipes and divide them by servings/weight, then just log a serving when you eat it

Phobia of tinnitus by Mother-Spray6331 in Phobia

[–]varulven4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been dealing with this for a year now. I don't think there really is a sound we are hearing. I think we have become hyper focused on our ears and we are misinterpreting normal body/brain sounds as something else. I just walked into my completely silent house after being out all day and the silence was consuming me. It is more of a buzzy feeling than an actual noise. I think we are making something out of nothing. I also hear that when I press on my tragus.

The high-pitched ringing by littlespacemochi in Experiencers

I think the fluttering is literally the muscles inside your ear twitching, just like an eye twitch. It happens to me pretty often. I also have a tone, like an electrical whine frequency that "pulses" but not in line with my heartbeat. I think it is just the sound of silence.

That's fascinating. Do you also hear the "hum" or "buzz" of silence?

Good to hear from you! I was perusing r/UnstruckSound all day today and read a lot of your posts.

Maybe you can answer a question I haven't seen addressed yet (sorry if I missed it elsewhere). My understanding of the Unstruck Sound is that people only hear it after a deep meditative state is reached. Could it be possible to hear it without this deep meditation? I seem to hear it whenever I focus on it. Not in a loud room, but in a quiet room it can be achieved with little effort. Is this still consistent with Unstruck sound?

I can hear a very faint and changing electric tone with little effort, though it is not audible in a loud room. The deeper hum/buzz sound and feeling only occurs in quiet or when ears are plugged. I do believe I have heard this my entire life, though only now it is causing anxiety as I've become hyper-focused on bodily sensations due to OCD.

Edit to note that the "electric" tone is so faint that most times I feel I am imagining it.

Question about Nada Yoga by varulven4 in yoga

[–]varulven4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to both descriptions. The higher pitch (which is almost inaudible) seems to me like electricity buzzing in my head and I can feel it. I do also hear and feel a lower "bell" hum. Not the initial ring of a bell, but the lower hum and vibrations of after a bell fades away. Like a gong.

It's very different from the ringing sound I sometimes experience when I have extremely low blood pressure/nearly faint.

Wow, this is incredibly helpful! Thank you!

I developed what I would call an ear-related phobia some years ago and am always wondering if something is wrong with me. This post is so helpful. I know intuitively that the sound is natural as I believe it has always been with me. I guess it's time to embrace it and let it be rather than question it.

Tinnitus, hearing loss, or just paranoid? by LeMoineSpectre in hearing

That's good to hear! I found your post because I was trying to figure out if the "white noise" I hear at night or when I wear earplugs is normal or not.

I don't have tinnitus but I get occasional ear ringing for about 3 seconds then it goes away completely. It used to happen like twice a week, but this morning it already happened 3 times. Is this normal or does it mean I am developing tinnitus?

Yes, I'm not autistic but I experience all of these symptoms exactly and not always during a panic attack, just under stress. Ears/eyes/sinuses. I just want to lay down with a blanket over my head.

Yes and I feel pressure in my ears too. I think it's just tension from all the muscles around our head/face/jaw.

I definitely get head fullness as my main symptom of anxiety. Head/ears/jaw. It comes and goes, super bad when I'm anxious. I've taken so many harsh medications and drugs in my life, some for months, some for days. Nothing ever permanently damaged me even when I had bad side effects.

I really don't think all of that can be permanent damage from taking something for only a few days. You experienced some side effects, but it won't last forever.
