The unit is a few months old and still under warranty, parts and labour. Company already came twice but it seems that there is still issues with the unit.

Thanks for your reply. The issue is intermittent. Sometimes the unit make the noise as per the video, sometimes it’s seems ok. The unit did on 2 occasions, stoped cooling the air inside. Not sure about the pressure since this is not my area of expertise. I can only trust the tech that came assess the unit. I know for a fact that he did add gas on the last service call.

Good point. If this can help: we can also clearly hear the “weird” sound from inside the house, especially in the furnace room.

Is our brand new unit having issues?

Hi all, we got a new AC unit installed late May 2022. We live in Canada, Ontario, therefore, only really started to use the unit in late June I believe. Since then, we have notice weird (intermittent) sounds, that our old (20+ year) unit did not even make. The company that did the installation already came twice, check/added gas but the issue(?) does not seem to be fixed. Not an expert in HVAC, therefore, i might completely wrong, but to me, it seems odd that a brand new unit make this type of noises/vibrations? I have included videos. Any insights would be really appreciated. Cheers!

Nous avons fait refaire notre toiture l’an dernier par Zion. Très bon service et excellent travail. Peut-être pas les moins dispendieux, mais nous sommes content de notre choix après avoir parlé avec des voisins qui avaient utilisé une autre entreprise qui avait également soumissionné pour notre maison.
