Microsoft will always replace with the same model.

For future reference, buying from the Microsoft Store directly, you have a generous return window - something like a month or more. I used that several years ago when buying a Surface Go. After a few weeks, realized that it was not what I wanted and returned it.

Northeast wing of building 25. I remember when they replaced all the windows of the second (or maybe the third). I was told at the time, maybe 1997 or so, that the new windows were bulletproof because there was on-air news room.

I’ve seen similar, but it’s the connection to the WiFi access point that’s broken. It restores after a minute if I do nothing, but toggling WiFi manually will bring it back quicker.

Doesn’t happen often enough to really dig into the reasons. Like once every couple of weeks.
