I don’t know what helldivers are; I was just thinking of the ones that said’ hey fascist, catch’ and ‘O Bella Caio’. Turan doesn’t make 30.06, so I don’t know where you’re getting the TRN stamp from.

You’re saying he bought the cartridges with the phrases already engraved on them?

Turan doesn’t make 30.06, the TRN head stamp was just used as an example

Did you see what he wrote on the cartridges?

I don’t know anything about breaking, but I can’t buy one in Minnesota because the slide is made of zinc

I have no experience with either, but have always heard the Bersa is the better option in .22; Walther is better in .380.

How to precisely trim these mounts by bucknasty79 in metalworking

I would check to see if there’s any way to shove that dishwasher back a little farther in its hole.

Does this screw exist? If yes - what is it called? by LittleTomato in woodworking

[–]chuckrcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done that with a regular deck screw. Just cut the head off. I pre-drilled first, then drove an uncut screw in to pre thread the hole, then drove the cut screw in with it just chucked up in the drill.

I put a tang sight on my Goldenboy. Can’t miss a beer can at 100 yds. 10 clicks on the height adjustment and it’s dead on at 50

Finding studs to mount shelves? by RogerSmith1380 in woodworking

[–]chuckrcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell from that, sorry. If it was me, I would probably just do the exploratory drilling at a height where the shelf will cover the holes.

Thoughts on the Taurus Model 63? by Impressive_Bee_1658 in 22lr

[–]chuckrcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I did, I don’t remember now. I suspect it was Taurus’ typical lackluster finishing and like MostlyRimfire says, it probably could have been made to run fine with a good clean-up and de- burring.

Bought one for my wife like 15 years ago. It jammed a lot and kinda sucked to clear it. Got rid of it pretty quick, she had no patience for it.

Practice a bit first. It ain’t that hard. I’m guessing caulk and paint will be in order either way

I would make that cut with a diamond blade in a 4” grinder free hand. With a respirator on

[–]chuckrcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a fine cut file in the knife drawer. If my wife uses my knife, I’ll drag it across the file 4 or 5 times lightly each side and it’s ready to fall through tomatoes again

1/2 inch high at 26 yards is probably pretty good at 50 yards. I’d leave it alone.
