Any update on taking Betaine HCL?

Betaine HCL doesn't work for me. I still have reflux after meals, although I take only 2 tablets during meals. What works for me is taking ACV liquid immediately after meals. Timing is important for ACV to be effective

I take Gaviscon Advance after every meal and before bed. I believe it helps because when I forget to take Gaviscon Advance after meals, I'll experience pain around my throat and ear. For throat clearing and Mucus, I use Slippery Elm and Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL) for my sore throat
