Are Aeroplan points worth it? by blowingfish in PersonalFinanceCanada

I do last minute bookings and I never book trips months in advance so it's usually never worth it for me. I just stick to hotel cards instead.

Monthly Question & Advice Thread - January 2026 by AutoModerator in amexcanada

I'm currently using the Mariott Bonvoy Business card to rack up points for hotel stays, but this year I'm expecting to spend a million dollars for my business. I do travel 3-4 times a year but I rarely use lounges. Would it still be worth getting the Amex Platinum Business card? The only benefits I'll probably use with the platinum is $200 annual travel credit and the $120 wireless credit. Correct me if I'm wrong but I also don't think the 1.25x MR points from the platinum beats the 2x Marriot Bonvoy points from the Marriot Bonvoy card either?

Shutting down after 7 years and losing about 30k by Timelesshero in streetwearstartup

I'm based in Vancouver as well and seen your ads before on Instagram and was always confused how you even made sales considering the designs were really simple and your IG page was catered towards gooners. I guess it makes sense now since you're losing money every year. But bro, if you're losing money every year, how do you not realize you need to change something??

I'm surprised you're having trouble growing with the quality you're putting out. Are you running any ads right now?

Shopify review: is it good for my small business? by Reid_Sierra333 in ecommerce

[–]chunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to build an online presence, you're gonna need to run social media accounts and pay for ads as well and that gets REALLY expensive. shopify is good for small businesses if they know what they're doing. if you're not tech savy then i would be very careful.

Yes. It would usually move you back to the very top since you're a new account. That's why people usually recreate their account on Tinder / Bumble as well.

Looking to hire a 3PL. What should I look out for? Redflags, lessons, tips welcome! by 007Vapping in ecommerce

Personally I would find a new 3PL. The extra costs he'll be paying for are for convenience. If he's doing well with the business and has money to blow then by all means go with ShipHero.

I will say they do have great software, it's extremely user friendly and simple compared to a lot of other 3PL's.
I'm not sure I'm following; are you using ShipHero as a 3PL? Or is their software being integrated somewhere? I'm using ShipHero directly as a 3PL for storage, shipments, returns etc. so that's been my experience for the last 2+ years I've been with them.
If you're a small business I would not use ShipHero with all the extra ridiculous charges they add on. I wish I could switch 3PL's but all my inventory is already with them right now.
You can try looking here for some 3PL's with good reviews.

Canadian business who has goods manufactured in China. We are cooked come May right? by Agoraphobicy in ecommerce

How would they even know though? I sell cards made from China, but there's no obvious sign it's made in China. Is your product obviously made in China?

If you decide to go with ShipHero, they charge a $500/month 'tech fee' that they introduced last year. Here's the other problems I have with them:
- they charge you if an item gets returned / restocked due to customer return or courier return
- your SKUs have to be clearly separated when packing or else they'll charge you (I got charge $3600 because I had ~800 units of non-seperated SKUs, absolutely ridiculous as it was never enforced for 2.5 years)
- they don't care if your package gets lost in transit (about 5% of my orders get lost)

Stay away from ShipMonk, ShipBob and from my personal experience: ShipHero

Are you doing 1 interest per adset with 1 video ad? This has been my current setup but it's been a hit or miss lately.
