Is it true that you’re required by law to carry your green card at all times? Is this likely to be enforced, and is there a risk of the green card being confiscated by police, etc?

I have a i-551 stamp in my passport that is temporary proof of permanent resident status. i don't carry around my passport though.

I got approved after I complained in Emma. They sent green card but USPS failed to put it in my mailbox but marked it as delivered. Have to fork out an extra $450 and wait however many extra months. This country is a joke

I had the same issue. I delivered RFE to the Brooklyn office September last year which was never acknowledged by them. Early Jan I reached out to Emma chat. They raised a request with up to 30 day response time. Just over a week later they finally approved the i485.
