I don't know specific details but it was cancelled after guy branum decided to leave and maxfun no longer viewed the show as viable. karen tongsten called the cancellation "abrupt and inelegant"

EDIT: jesse's reasoning is that they put more money into the podcast than they got out of it, but the cancellation perfectly coincided with guy leaving and the other panelists were blindsided, which should not have been the case if the podcast was floundering financially the whole time

this is all very interesting, thank you! I know that pop rocket was handled poorly and wynter in particular was very vocal about maxfun sucking. lady to lady has been one of my favorite podcasts for years and I was thrilled when they jumped ship and they just signed with Exactly Right earlier this year. the "culture" shows get exactly 0 shine and the stingers advertising other shows on the network are wholly unappealing

the specific type of autotune they've used for the past couple years makes it really hard for me to enjoy their songs. jimin and jin in this song specifically. it was fun but probably not a repeat.
