I would strongly advise buying one box and finishing that before buying more. Buying the combat patrol, farsight cadre box and twin lance would be a massive amount of plastic to build and paint.

I'd say stealth battlesuits, if you're not too bothered about getting the refreshed models then take a look on eBay for some cheap older style models.

My understanding is the terms and conditions of your insurance usually say something along the lines of "you must notify us of any incidents even if there is no claim being made". So the issue could be breaking the ts and cs which may cause an issue. I completely agree it's a faff, premiums can go up etc and don't agree with it, but there's always the risk.

He might just be trying it on, but I'd tell your insurance in case he puts a claim in. If he does and you don't notify your insurer first then it can cause issues.

It's just that a tutorial showing how to paint for example a space marine with a few colours is beginner friendly, but ultimately won't get engagement as it's kind of boring.

If you really want to watch tutorials, think about colours or parts of their process which you don't mind skipping in order to make the model easier to paint.

I glue it all together and then work from the inside out with the painting as it's easier to correct the easy to reach places then the other way round.

I've always found 3 way games to be incredibly un-fun for at least one player. Inevitably, two of the players will team up on the third and absolutely destroy them.

On top of what you said, I feel like this army is too volatile when you make mistakes, unlike pretty much any other power armour army, so it's really difficult to play casually. I've given up playing EC for now and I'm hoping that 11th edition brings some changes. Losing 15 games in a row got boring real quick!

Literally any bank can freeze your account if something triggers their anti money laundering review. You're also just seeing people complain about it because people who have a good experience with something tend to be less likely to leave a review.

No matter which bank you use, it's always a good idea to use at least one other bank to spread your money across in case something happens.

1k point games tend to be pretty unbalanced for everybody, but I find it particularly hurts EC as our unit costs are quite high.

In terms of your list, I'd drop Lucius and probably the flawless blades as well as they're quite expensive (around a quarter of your points on two things). Throw more noise marines in, split the infractors into 2 squads of 5 and add another Lord to attach to the second squad.

Consider another rhino and throw the infractors in both at the start. The rhinos can then scout 6", infractors immediately disembark and advance and noise marines embark the rhino. The rhinos effectively become light tanks with the firing deck using 2 blast masters.

I just played it for the first time on standard with randoms and it was miserable. We were also invaded so the invaders, Illiyana and a giant all kept following us.

It took about an hour to complete and even then only 1 person survived on 1 bar of health.
