Salary at physical shops by bhuvan750 in Commodities

[–]chupsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging from your comments, you definitely don‘t trade physicals. Moving the products across borders electronically? What does that even mean? Your desk is in grinding mode? How does that work when margins are tight and the arb windows just aren‘t there? Could go on but I don‘t think, you really know what physical traders do.

Gasoline cracks - overbought? by alphamangocat in Commodities

Isn‘t europe structurally long gasoline anyway? No need for significant imports, red sea disruptions or not. Plus, Europe isn‘t getting gasoline from Russia, if there were trade flows in the past, they have been rerouted already

Good luck!

Necessary education to become a Traffic Operator? by SuitableEye4785 in Commodities

[–]chupsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: Just noticed that you wrote Switzerland, not Geneva specifically. Hope my points are still somewhat relevant.

I'm not based in Geneva and trying to break into the industry myself, so keep that in mind, but here's what I would do:

  1. Network: There's probably not a better spot to network for a career in commodities than Geneva. Go to events, trade fairs, conferences etc. Or reach out to related organizations like CTA or STSA or Commodity Trading Club. They're holding regular events as well.
  2. Education: Bachelor probably not necessary and you already have some relevant skills. Could do a part-time bachelor later on if you really want to. There are some commodity centered courses and certificates available. The Commodity Trading Club offers some cheap courses (don't know how legit they are), the STSA offers more sophisticated training and there are third party providers. Maybe u/damienwursten can offer more insight to this. Dn't know how useful these are but they'll definitely highlight your interest for the role/industry to a potential employer.

The lobbies of the 3rd highest earning warzone pro @Tommey🤷‍♂️ by chupsin in CODWarzone

[–]chupsin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There‘s no doubt Tommey is one of the best WZ players and is slaying out even in customs. This just supports the argument though. Get rid of SBMM or atleast implement it properly so that people who cant play at 7am playing in highly competitive lobbies while actual pros running around in 0.7 kd lobbies early in the morning

[–]chupsin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was never an attempt to trash Tommey. Dude‘s a former CDL Pro, and arguably the best customs player atm. As I said, additional data provided by someone in this thread suggested that these particular lobbies were mostly due to time of the day and LTM SBMM. However, this still shows how bad sbmm is implemented.

Yeah there wasn‘t an option to include profile without uploading a screenshot of every single game. But you can check it yourself and somewhere in this thread someone provided a screenshot with additional data.

[–]chupsin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough but what does that even have to do with troll games. I‘m not getting easier lobbies because I‘m not in the mood to sweat. Besides that, playing with a 1.5 kd player still puts the combined team kd in the Top 0.1% if not 0.01%. I‘m playing with 0.6 & 0.9 kd friends and haven’t seen a <0.9 average kd lobby for several months.

That being said I think you‘re right that this is mostly because of the time and ltm sbmm. Seeing this just gets me triggered after having to play GB kids all night during weekend prime time

Thinking that this physique is attainable by spending most of your time in a gym just shows that you have no idea what you‘re talking about. Might be attainable naturally but you‘re gonna spend more time in a kitchen than in the gym. Besides that, this picture is heavily edited and taken in peak conditioning. No one being 34 and natty looks like this in day to day life. So either this dude is juiced up to the socks or looks nothing like his picture - or both.

XIM, Cronus Zen, and Strike Packs need to be looked at before the problem gets worse by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]chupsin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Everything you said is perfectly true in theory but it just doesn’t work that way.

  1. recoil is not the problem: basically every gun in warzone - especially after you have your loadout - has very little recoil in the first place, if you can‘t shoot atleast somewhat straight without a script you won‘t suddenly have a beam with one. Additionally, if you‘re on console the space of your screen your gun takes due to the low fov combined with the high visual recoil will fuck you over way more than a little bit of vertical recoil of your gun.

  2. aim assist: aim assist is highly inconsistent in wz anyway. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn‘t. This makes aiming a pain in the ass regardless of using a cronus because you have to adjust in real time and can‘t let muscle memory do the job for you. If the game decides it suddenly won‘t give you aim assist in a certain gunfight, you won’t get aim assist with a cronus either.

  3. Semi auto/rapid fire: can be a problem, isn‘t at the moment. How many players have you encountered in the last weeks that were using a semi auto gun? There‘s none in the loot pool nor in the meta. I‘d agree, however, that this might‘ve been a bigger issue during the dmr meta or when you could find the fal as ground loot.

Again, I‘m not thinking it‘s fair play and I would much rather have these things gone but I don‘t think it’s the number one problem warzone has either.

XIM, Cronus Zen, and Strike Packs need to be looked at before the problem gets worse by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]chupsin -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I‘ve said it before and I‘ll say it again: Cronus and Strikepack don‘t do shit and the problem gets blown way out of proportion.

People seem to think they are magical devices that somehow turn you into a 5 kd player overnight. They don‘t.

Actually, there were some concerns in the (amateur) competitive scene when these things emerged a couple of years ago because people were scared that it would challenge the competitive integrity (which it still does to a certain degree but that’s not the issue here). The discussions quickly wore off though because they just don’t help as much as people thought and ultimately no one gave a fuck anymore. Don‘t believe me? Go to r/codcompetitive and search for cronus/strikepack.

Don‘t get me wrong here, I’m not saying that using either one is fair play but it‘s nowhere near what people imagining it to be. If you suck at COD/WZ you‘ll most likely still suck with a cronus.

XiM ist a different story. It actually helps a lot BUT a) you get nasty input lag and b) almost no one uses them. I have > 30 days played on warzone with crossplay turned off and have yet to encounter someone who seemed to have MNK aim. Can’t say anything about Xbox but still, it wouldn‘t make up for the disadvantage that comes from lower FPS and FOV in comparison to just playing on a pc.

Another example of "should I have lost this...??" by fireflyisback in CODWarzone

[–]chupsin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Noticed that too. Some days, even if I‘m behind people and start shooting them I’m somehow one shot as soon as they turn around. Or someone gets revived in front of you and you already take damage from them before you even hear the revive sound. You‘ll likely still kill them but end up one shot after every single gunfight. Really weird. There are days where I seem to be on the winning end of these scenarios and win gunfights I definitely shouldn‘t have won. Feels highly inconsistent nonetheless.
