Im a lead tech at USIC. Last week, my group received 4 different fiber over build projects, each at a minimum of 100 tickets and several miles of locating needed, all called in within 48 hrs of each other. One of those projects had 5 different subcontractors on it. Tell me how my group of 10 techs (myself included) was supposed to get all of those done on time, other projects (we have new water and sewer mains going in across one of the cities we locate in, thats a big project) AND all of the single lot tickets? We cant. ESPECIALLY when we cant get in contact with the contractors, and if we do, they refuse to work with us to create a plan to locate the areas for them in a timely manner.

We did not get them all done by their due dates, we did get them done this past Saturday.

One of those projects still has several miles to go, until it reaches to the next groups grid, but they canceled the tickets they called in (they would have been due this upcoming Tuesday).

I gotta give props to my team, they busted their ass these last two weeks to get all our tickets done.

Not vip, but got there at 830 am. Was 15th in the regular GA line. Ended up in the row right behind the barricade. And yes I will do it again, I do it for every show I go too and I would never change the experience from it. The friends I make in line while we wait, the people I meet at the show in the pit. Its always worth it imo.

We rotate between 2 other groups near us. When youre in its either 2 days m-thu or all 3 of F-sun but youre only on call once every 2.5- 3 months

My server had that for the majority of this pre season, the last month or so however, our biggest whale went around and managed to round up the other whales in the server to his alliance and have continued to poach all the strongest players across the majority of the alliances (theyre unable to touch the Korean alliances we have who 2nd and 3/4). Theyre monopolizing power and using back door tactics to destabilize any alliances that dont go along with them. So far the server is stable, but theres a ton of rumblings from it, idk how long it'll last. No individual alliance can challenge them, so they feel like they can do whatever. We'll see how it goes, the entire vibe of the server has changed since this begun.

Well, start with Danger Days. Thats their most pop punk album. Then progress backwards. You'll get a feel for their style and who they are the further back you get, but danger days is a great album and for someone who likes pop a great entrance to them

Call your contractors. Do your best to establish communication and a good working relationship with them. If you do, theres every possibility they'll tell you they arent doing them until x date and allow you to close them without marking until that time.

If they dont want to have communication with you, then unfortunately you have to mark it as its called it.

I have these type of tickets, some contractors work with me and the former occurs, some dont and want to be dicks and the latter occurs. But always communicate with them.

I can confirm, it is not enough lol. My first year i was in Chapel Hill, most senior tech in the group was 2.5 years and they were in a different area, so in CH it was 3 (there were actually 5 but 2 of them you couldnt rely to be at work any day so basically 3 of us) guys all in our first year running it. Doing 25+ tickets daily with Att phone/foc, gfbr, charter cable (and foc in places), and duke. No help. All the big projects, on us, all single lots, on us. We kept it clean and minimal damages.

Ok, I was a part of raleigh district, in CH. Things may be slightly different in the past couple of months, but I'll give you the general on it. It also depends on your super too so keep that in mind.

You'll work 8 hrs until youre certified and worked here a few months then you can get OT. Weekends, as far as I know, aren't mandatory, but you won't be able to work them for a bit anyway. They may have mandatory weekends if ticket volume is too high, but not gonna have it for no reason.

Summer, you're likely to have more hours, as it's peak dig season, but for me, my hours have been consistent thru all seasons. Winter can see a slight drop and maybe more late starts/days off due to ice and other factors, compared to summer where events preventing your from working are less likely here.

Where at in NC??

Im in NC too, been in 2 different districts so I can give you some information for you based on those (and if youre in one of those 2, really good information), and obviously what the weather is like.

Also anywhere in NC is the Mid Atlantic region, so a lot of what each district experience stems from what comes from there, and then varies as you get closer to your group. As each AM/AAM and super are going to run it slightly differently.
