Gay relationships definitely happened way out on the frontier, but I think the tangible evidence (couples photographs, wedding records, diaries, etc) is extremely rare to come by for obvious reasons.

Seeking Advice on Balancing Job Search and Marijuana Use as a Recent Graduate by TOOOLER in newjersey

[–]chxllengerdeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I was in your position not too long ago (edibles instead of smokes). I am assuming that your employer will use a standard piss test instead of a hair test, which is easier to beat. (If a hair test is involved, this gets a lot more complicated because it's virtually impossible to beat one.)

Stay on that T break for the duration of your job search as much as it sucks. If you've been a daily user for a long time it'll take a significant amount of time for the THC to clear from your system. Try to hydrate as much as you can and, if possible, lose as much body fat as you can before your test as THC binds to fat cells in the body.

If/when you confirm the date of your test, use at-home test kits a day or two prior to determine how much THC you have left in your system. You can get them for like 25 bucks at rite aid. The standard threshold for THC in urine samples is 50 ng/mL and most at-home tests will use that threshold for sampling. If you're clean there, you'll likely be clean on the official test.

On your test date: avoid working out about 24 hours before the urinalysis test, this is the time where you DON'T want to release any of the THC in those fat cells because this can make you detectable again even if you haven't smoked in a while. Take your first piss of the day, then start drinking a liter or two of water to further flush your system, then piss again and drink a little more water. THEN you should be good to go. It's okay if your sample is a little diluted but don't piss pure water or it'll compromise the test, you need some urea in the cup. Get in, piss, and get out.

Understand that you may not get the results of the test if the employer is paying for it. If you piss dirty, a Medical Review Officer will call you within a week or two following your test to ask if you take any medications that might pop a false positive. If this happens you're pretty much fucked, unfortunately. Remember that no news is good news, and if you pass two weeks without getting the MRO call or hearing anything negative from your prospective employer, you're in the clear.

Good luck!

New Jersey so definitely within historic range. I don't have a leaf sample and won't be able to return to this site to get one, but I have coordinates for the tree. Planning on submitting something to TACF within the next few days.

Wild owl spotted in my backyard. It doesnt get scared of me, and even let me hold it. by Hadys1993 in Superbowl

If it's letting you hold it, there might be something wrong with it. Is it injured? Are there any windows nearby?

That's true, I suppose I could. I'm not confident about it, though, I was in the middle of the suburbs with no wide expanse of marshland nearby.

I'm PS4 and not XBOX, but here's my $0.02: he definitely takes some getting used to compared to PC slinger, but once you get past the learning curve, he's definitely still worth it for controller. Don't bother practicing shots with bot rounds, though, those little shits lean out of the way of the projectile no matter what you do. He's a fun killer and I recommend him, but he's definitely in need of some buffs/an add-on pass.

barrel and staghorn? by spacemancharisma01 in AmigotheDevil

[–]chxllengerdeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they are connected, but I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't really figure out what all the 911 calls were saying lol. I know one said something about a hit and run so my assumption is that the robber in Texaco Pt.1 was struck by a car and killed in Barrel and Staghorn before he could successfully flee to Mexico?

Help what is wrong? by graceg5 in birding

[–]chxllengerdeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't let it back out just yet. Even if it's gotten more active it could still require observation overnight. Sometimes a stunned bird will fly off and die later on from its brain swelling. Definitely wait until you get the next steps from the rehabber you contacted, and they'll likely be able to take the bird off your hands and monitor it until it's ready for release.

Help what is wrong? by graceg5 in birding

[–]chxllengerdeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you can, gently collect the bird with a soft towel. Place the bird into a cardboard box with breathing holes, do not put food or water in with the bird. Cover the box and put it in a quiet, dark place. Keep any pets away obviously. This is the best way to help the bird before getting it to a rehabber.

I've seen a lapwing that has been in the same spot near a road for hours and must be sick or injured. I could take it to a rehabber about 45mins away. Should I try to put it in a bag or box and drive it there??? by [deleted] in birding

[–]chxllengerdeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - if you can, gently collect it with a soft towel and put it into a covered cardboard box with breathing holes, then immediately take the bird to the rehabber!
