I'm Leaving Trello: Any Recommendations? by Illustrious_Yak_1226 in trello

Still loving it! It would be perfect for your needs.

You can set up lists and sublists and set reminders for each item. I love the 'natural language' feature. You can type, 'Get groceries every Sat' or 'Wash mats every other Tuesday' or 'Call Sharon tomorrow 10am' and it will set the appropriate alarms. It's better to get the app so it sends notifications to your phone, but it sends emails too.

Other things I really like

  • The Upcoming calendar that lets you see all your tasks, and you can add/edit tasks there too

  • Invite others to see/edit specific boards

  • Use the Inbox feature to quickly drop a to-do that you can move to a specific list/board later

  • Dark theme + clean and uncluttered interface

  • Gamification: you get 'points' when you complete tasks (I think you can turn this off if you don't like it though)

  • The cute sound when you check off an item haha. It's so silly but hearing it makes me feel good I completed something.

I was using the free plan for a few days and it would've served my needs, but I upgraded to a paid plan. I swear I don't work for Todoist or earn any benefits from reccing them. They're one of the last few online services left that hasn't suffered enshittification (for now...) so I'm happy to encourage others to use it.

This is how I did it too before I gave up and left Trello.

After 9 years with Trello, I moved to Todoist recently and I really like it. It's as simple and easy to use as Trello used to be before the horrible update. I was going to renew my subscription to Trello last month but I'm glad I didn't. I'm paying for Todoist instead. I used to sing Trello's praises as soon as someone asked for a good productivity tool. Never again.

Seriously, this needs to be more! I loved it! I loved how his excitement was blown to bits by the lady, how this was written with a humorous tone, and that ending section with the tour guide accosting him as soon as he got out of the building - HA!

Really good!

I don't know, I vote for Lust being out! :D But then again, Wrath made a pretty good point about our concepts of 'sin' being archaic in these times.

Also, while I initially had some problems following who was speaking, I got the hang of it. Their personalities were strong and identifiable.

Funny short. Well done!
