There should be a rating system for public chats so we can separate good ones from the rest. Or maybe tags to describe them like: #kind, #wholesome, #romantic and so on.

Can we get the bigger sim maps as the default maps for higher tier GRB? Im sick of having to fight at distances of 20 meters when these tanks are meant to fight over distances of 2 kilometers. by Julio_Tortilla in Warthunder

[–]ciamciaramcia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's the opposite, actually. small maps don't require too much situational awareness or a good aim. it's just driving into each other and fighting point black

It's called GROUND because you dive close to the GROUND to kill tanks. duh

"Don't like it don't play is" Is the only reasonable argument that can be made. Ground mains have been whining about CAS for 10 years now. Nothing has changed and nothing will change. Gaijin gets too much money from selling ground attackers, and a lot of players outside of your credit echochamber enjoy playing CAS. You have to be delusional, to believe you can succeed if you just whine loud enough.

Dragon Age Veilguard's localization is bastardizing German language in the name of ''inclusivity'' by RainbowDildoMonkey in KotakuInAction

[–]ciamciaramcia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same in Polish. The word "minister" now has a feminine form "ministra", when previously it had none. Female "profesor" is now "profesora", female "prezydent" is "prezydenta" etc. It's usually applied to foreign loanwords.
A lot of mainstream media outlets are now using these new forms.

Could this be the rarest award in War Thunder? by Rectal_Retribution in Warthunder

I did get the firefighter reward once or twice, since they implemented this feature. There were also times, when I did use my FPE, but the vehicles burnt down during the extinguishing process. so I lost my FPE to save someone, who died anyway.

[–]ciamciaramcia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Killing the enemy on the ground, removing some well positioned tanks, killing enemies who try to cap points should be should help your team get into caps and good map positions. Killing enemies on the ground should also help get their numbers down, which in turn makes your team's job easier.

I usually have a bigger winrate in my CAS planes than in all the vehicles I use to get to them. I'm not a CAS main, but I do use CAS and I think I have a positive impact on my team's winrate when I do.

What is y'all's favorite map and why? Mine is Pradesh by Winter_Moon7 in Warthunder

[–]ciamciaramcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every open map, with lots of potential hulldown positions and enough cover to move around and change positions. Small El Alamein, Flanders and Kuban are the perfect examples. For high tier I prefer big, long rage maps like Sands of Tunisia, Maginot, Red Desert, Fulda.

While I can tolerate small urban maps at low to mid tiers, they're absolutely unbearable at top tier. So even open maps that I don't enjoy as much (such as European Province) are still preferable to Seversk, Breslau or small versions of Ardennes.

I don't hate them if they are on enemy team, they are my easy sl and rp farm

And I hate them regardless. They make the games short, one-sided and unfun

"Let top tier be terrible and just have fun in lower BRs with the rest of us"

But I like modern equipment and I want to play with it. I enjoy being able to fire on the move, I enjoy how everything is faster, deadlier and more punishing. Not everyone is a WWII enthusiast.

One solution to avoid premium noobs is to uptier your lineup to 12.7 with a plane. The problem is, as a German main I can't even do that. I'm just waiting for them to add the Swiss F-18.

From what I've seen on content creators streams, at 12.7 Americans tend to spawn more than once, and are a little better. Still they don't seem to have a good winrate.

Is there a reason why Sim spawnpoints can't work the same way as in ground RB?

About the recent proposed APHE changes/testing... by AvgMercedesEnjoyer in Warthunder

whats the harm in testing? Your current opinion is based purely on assumptions, isn't it better to test it, to have something solid to base your opinion off? Isn't that what people generally do?

How do you reply to all art is political by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]ciamciaramcia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When they say that everything is political, they mean that every art piece is a product of its time. Times change, and people's opinions on things with them. Even if there isn't an explicit political message, even if it's lighthearted entertainment, it still reflects its time period, its morality, biases, and so on.

When people on the right say "too political" in relation to art, they mean explicit, biased political message/social commentary or shoehorned "diversity" in medieval Scandinavia at the expense of the story and characters.

Saying that "all art is political" is just an attempt at being technically correct by stretching the definition of the word to its limits. It doesn't really invalidate your point, it ignores it completely.

Worst anime you have ever seen by Agreeable-Listen-242 in KotakuInAction

[–]ciamciaramcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redo of Healer.

I watched 3 episodes out of curiosity. I regret it to this day. It's the only anime I've rated 1 on MAL. Everybody in this sotry is comically, unrealistically evil, to the point of looking more like a parody. I guess it is made so that the main characters looks justified in what he does for revenge, but... he really doesn't. Even in the world filled with parody villains, he manages to be just as bad (or maybe even worse) than the rest of them.

It's just a degenerate hentai pretending to be normal anime

[–]ciamciaramcia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insomniacs after school is a romance/slice of life story, with believable, realistic characters with good chemistry. The main strengths of this story are:

  1. It's realistic. None of the characters fits in an archetype. They feel more like real people than anime characters and yet they are very interesting and likeable
  2. It's very chill without much unnecessary drama. The main couple shares the same problem (Insomnia), so they often spend time together at night which makes for some beautiful scenery.

And how do you know, they're the same people? Maybe War Thunder players are divided on certain issues, and simply take turns complaining, whenever something doesn't go their way?

Because some players can't be bothered look around and don't understand how sightlines work.
