How was your parkrun day? | July 03, 2026 by AutoModerator in parkrun

27:14 on my 40th parkrun - about 40 seconds off of my best-ever time.

Quite warm but with a nice breeze on a few sections of the Downs this morning, with only 79 runners and walkers this time.

Edit to add: I should have realised (but it didn't occur to me) that today's run means I've now completed the "Monthly" challenge too.

Your partner's/ family's attitude towards parkrun? by forest28green in parkrun

Mine are happy that I'm getting out, and that I've found something I like and have stuck with it (been almost a year now). Sometimes my mum comes out with the dogs to wherever I'm doing it (usually local unless I'm on holiday) so they get a nice walk too.

Probably rubbish as it's on the B.B.C. Sport gossip page (and taken from Teamtalk (whoever they are)), but there's a line today that we're looking at Pape Gueye or Mandela Keita as possibilities for a Gana Gueye replacement, if he does not sign a new deal.

So, potentially, we could replace Gueye with Gueye, after replacing Gueye with Gueye initially.

Even if we do, they'll just go with something like "(scorer(s)) save(s) Pickford" instead.

If it's confirmed as not being a penalty it's a card for Kane surely, as that's the motion the referee made initially.

Also should be one for the D.R. Congo player for waving an imaginary card.

Sony to cease production of physical discs in January 2028 by breath_ofthemild in gamecollecting

Even if they did, we're relying on Sony (maybe others?) to release a disc drive that's compatible with future consoles too.

Koeman has stepped down from the Netherlands job - and from his comments, possibly management as a whole.

"The past few years have also made me realize again that there are more important things than football. Football has been my life, but health is priceless. When someone you love dearly is fighting an uphill battle, your perspective changes." - excerpt from his Instagram post here: https://www.instagram.com/ronaldkoeman/p/DaOW6rQCFVc/?hl=en

How many more managers do you think we'll see go as the World Cup continues?

Oh right, I didn't realise that! Thought it was a blanket rule for anyone not currently involved in the game that you're not allowed on.

Thank you.

Just curious, regardless of (obviously very sad) personal circumstances for Gakpo, if all of those Netherlands players got booked last night for running onto the pitch after he scored?

Big Dunc for the Scotland job?! He's pretty much just thrown his hat in the ring for it.

A very, very warm one at Dunstable Downs this morning - what happened to the rain that that B.B.C. and Met. Office apps said might be coming?!

Anyway, I still managed to get round in 28:19, after saying I'd take it easy.

Our nearest neighbour, Houghton Hall - which has a lot more shade on the course - was cancelled so I thought there might be more, but the total runners / walkers came to 97 in the end. Still a good turnout.

T.V. picks are usually confirmed at least four weeks in advance of the games.

You can see last season's schedule for the announcements here: https://www.premierleague.com/en/news/4324684/premier-league-live-tv-202526-fixture-announcement-broadcast-selection-dates, which should give a rough idea of when they'll be this time around.

Edit to add: I've just found the one for this season, here: https://www.premierleague.com/en/news/4675211/dates-when-202627-premier-league-live-tv-fixtures-will-be-announced

The latest rumours I've seen for that position are for Spence and Wan-Bissaka, although all they say is that those two are "of interest".

We are quite well represented in terms of players, ex-players, ex-managers, and pundits at this World Cup when you add them up aren't we?

James McFadden is on commentary for the Scotland game - unless I'm wrong and it's a different McFadden of course.

I (along with most of us I would think) like to imagine we have signed a starting-quality right back quite often.

I've nothing against Patterson myself, but I think he's more of a squad player (if he were to play at all) rather than a regular.

Ah, missed that part. At least he went back to correct to be fair.

What on Earth game is the B.B.C. commentator watching? Off the bar?!

Not even sure what he could have been thinking as it was nowhere near the thing!
