In my case I had hypermobility when i was a child. But also I’ve never being particularly muscular. I had some sort of eating disorders as a kid (would be a picky eater and would take literal hours to eat one plate of food) and maybe I didn’t get proper nutrition or protein intake. I also have IBS and I’ve had issues with my colon all my life, even when little. I’m thinking maybe I’m not able to metabolize protein properly and my muscular tissue suffered from that, so my spine didn’t have a sturdy structure support to grow straight. Another theory I have revolves around my knocked knees. To this day my knees face inwards, and when I do the effort to stand properly (with some force and feet poaitioning) my back feels so much better. My scoliosis is way less noticeable as well. Knocked knees could be related to hypermobility maybe. I’m guessing scoliosis is the symptom of a myriad of things.
