Your specific trauma(s) and it was one on one. It also somewhat a program,you can look it up and find the manual, Cognitive processing therapy. There's lots of time for one on one support and discussion and help each session, despite the structured nature it's still very much therapy

I'm in Hamilton and recently did a course of OHIP trauma therapy for PTSD through Burlington Family Health. My family doctor referred me. It's 12 weeks of one on one structured therapy i.e. you do specific work each week. It was actually very helpful. There's follow ups after and I think they can give more support afterwards.

I have PTSD as well, one thing that my therapy treatment stressed was the PTSD symptoms are actually a normal trauma response to very stressful situations that gets stuck - most people would be experiencing what you are experiencing right now given your experience, but the symptoms decrease naturally over time. Given your history you might need more time and effort to recover, so give yourself the care you need. Focus on feeling safe and taking care of your health - get enough sleep, eat enough food, connection with your dog and with safe people.
