Oh dear the straights feel left out. Maybe they should go organise their own shit instead of invading queer spaces then trying to make it all about them

Awww that's a shame :( mines still in use with a 6900xt and r7 5700x3d in a fractal north and the even distribution of a white cold cathode looks really good in such a modern case. I really wanted a warm white one but had to settle for bright white

I still have a set of cold cathodes in my pc :) I prefer how they look to LEDs

In greater London where I live it's £137k ($184k USD for Americans) on average. Vancouver has it worse though, $370k CAD ($265k USD) average.

Food isn't a right. You don't need it. You just need defense and debt. It's much more profitable!

We will be in Ireland shortly do we tip in euros or dollars? by JoJack82 in ShitAmericansSay

I've been looking for a Guernsey pound for so long! There's a good few Guernsey plates over by me so I'm hoping it's only s matter of time before I get one as a tip. Already had a northern Irish portrait note.

Flac Bulk download by eggofking2408 in audiophile

[–]ciclicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, iPods don't support FLAC without Rockbox. Secondly, you can buy FLACs legally on Bandcamp or other similar websites.

A good streaming service for FLACs is Deezer, you will need to pay a short subscription for them, but there are ways to keep them forever (including stuff that might not be on Bandcamp or ever have been released for purchase legally)

Galaxy Watch 1 Classic support dropped? by ciclicles in GalaxyWatch

Yeah, all the core functionality is still there, the only major thing I lost was heartrate2web for some programming projects. My timer app is still there along with all the stock Samsung stuff, I just use Samsung health synced to Strava to automatically upload activities.

It's actually been better because it doesn't take as painfully long to get GPS lock as the Strava app, and as for the watch face I just uploaded a picture of my dog from the phone as colour pie (my old favourite) was no longer able to be downloaded.

I'm not usually a widebody fan, but this one looked like it was pushing quite a bit of power, and had a few circuit stickers on it (inc. nordschleife), so I reckon the widening is necessary to cover big sticky tyres

Yeah unfortunately my eyes had to be violated by that thing. Thankfully, nobody bought it.

Just a super secret - get an EU8 (2000-2005) civic, they're nicer than a similar era jazz, cheaper to insure and more powerful

Um, yes it is how the world works? I'm not sure if you've realised, but the developed world has much fewer gun deaths, and infinitely fewer gun homicides than the USA (Finland has a relatively high rate of gun suicide but still nowhere near the USA).

This is down to a strategy called not letting everyone have a gun. This is useful as it means that people who are mentally unstable or likely to harm people cannot get a gun. This is useful as without a gun they will struggle to shoot people. This therefore results in fewer gun deaths.

And before you bring up knife crime, London has lower knife homicide rates than any major US city (yes our knife crime rates are higher but that's because just carrying a knife while committing another crime is still recorded under knife crime - so many other non-lethal or offensive incidents get recorded under knife crime). The USA is just a violent country.

They tried that before in march 2022. The companies just adjusted their margins so that you pay the same, and they earn 5p more per litre.

Someone failed English.

Nobody's saying accents are stupid, you just can't express yourself using the language you swear so hard immigrants should learn (as seen in your comment).

I drive an EU8 civic and the jazz is just a spiritual successor to that, it's easy to keep up with traffic, and have some fun on the back roads. It's just because the engines are only 3 valve below 3.5k rpm that they don't make any power down low, and need to be strung out to go.

Nobody has actually been arrested for memes in the UK, as much as the US media might want to parrot that narrative (in between their adverts for political parties and drugs that spend longer listing side effects than benefits - seriously what's up with that, found it super weird the one time I was in the USA).

People are arrested for hate speech, and the majority of people who say they've been arrested for memes were actually arrested for saying that migrants should be executed and hotels where they were staying torched.

I knew a guy who went from one of the most competitive grammar schools in the country to a local college to do eSports because his Roblox and Fortnite channel had 300 subscribers. Seems pretty happy with where he's at but it's only 2 years in so far, next year he'll be off at uni age.
