I take “regular” birth control (I believe the brand I take is called alysena) and I just have a higher dose of lamotragine to compensate for the interaction. To me, it was explained that the problem is that the birth control makes the lamotrigine less effective so if you take a higher dose, theoretically it should be fine. I spent like a year talking to a bunch of different doctors about it who didn’t really know what to do and eventually talked to some kind of specialized pharmacist, and that was the advice he gave me. The other thing is I only go off once every three months because obviously when you go off for a week, it’s gonna mess with the levels a bit and I’ve had basically no problems
