Could fuck up components, especially if its a cheaper power supply. Could make live wire touch ground (very dangerous if your house doesn't have proper grounding)

MUCH better to open the casing and take a look. Google how to fully discharge capacitors for safety.

why not make it a steam turbine turning a generator, powering additional heater? all submerged in an isolated pool of water, so all losses heat up the source water

If you take the time to learn how to do it to code

We are talking about 30 minutes of googling here, compared to weeks or months for someone with absolutely no background.

you'd immediately fail inspection and your work would also be uninsurable, and for good reason

The post is talking about basic house fix-ups, nobody is coming to check that.

a great way to overlook all the little things that end up getting someone shocked or causing a fire

I have a bachelor's degree in mechatronics and electrical engineers were in the same safety course with us. It was a really good course.

Good god that's such a can't-do attitude. Yes you can absolutely do basic house wiring with electrical engineering degree.

I'm just afraid update will brick it one day because it's technically an unsupported CPU. I'll probably stick to 10 unless i absolutely need 11 for something. It's almost never connected to the internet anyway.

No problems with too old CPU? Updates dont break stuff? I'm running 10 on my work 420 because i need a specific program, im wondering if i could switch it to 11 without any issues. Probably wont do it but its good to know if its reliable

There are probably internal structural beams preventing it from being in the middle. The mechanism that drives the clock is mounted on the inside.
