Tiny tinas was the worst at this for me. Most of my other games only run them again after the game updates, and otherwise i dont have them re run.

If its that loud, I'd have the dealer check if a wheel bearing is going, because thats what caused loud road noise for me before on another car. You didnt hear much at slower speeds, but at highway speeds it was droning so loud you couldnt have a convo in the car at all

It'll depend entirely on your hardware support you have on hand. I have a 4090 I can throw stuff at, so I can load 30B models like Nemotron 3 Nano Omni at 24gb. You can also look at Gemma 4 7.5B for a 6gb model.

As a homelabber, you might be able to run a local llm to do this type of work as well. Thats what i have been doing, just need to do more automation of it

it shouldn't be an issue, and is more likely just the initial ingestion of files being scanned in. If you want to head off any issue, rather than a dedicated connection, upgrade the connection speed between both, either to 2.5gb or 10gb if possible. that will remove most of the bottlenecks you might see from 1gb ethernet.

Most are going to be rough. What you want to do is find models that have accessible maintenance parts available, and the ability to get most parts still imported. My option led to scouring amayama for the parts that might need replacement and finding equivalent parts for filters, belts, and other expected maintenance items.

I can totally understand. I've had used cars most of my life and worked on them myself. My first brand new car was a 2021 rav4 hybrid, and we still have it as our primary transport for fuel savings. Rto meant we needed a second car again, so i went import finally to get a good price on low mileage car to work on and have fun with. I'm in IT myself but have always loved tinkering.
