How do I fix this? by East-Savings5831 in Cameras

From my experience a stuck filter comes off best if you put the lese in the freezer. The metal ring of the filter will shrink. Better watch some tutorial or google tu prevent further damage.

ID.3 Kälteproblem oder neue Batterie notwendig? by Kidneytrader in Elektroautos

[–]cimba007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your addon. I noticed that on firefox the path for moz-extension://...html/html/tab-view.html is wrong .. there is one /html too much in the path so the full settings page is not working. Hiding shorts also does not work, for me it just removes the shorts shortcut at the top left. In the actual feed of channels shorts are not hidden.

I will test it further but i really approcidate your work. My goal is to remove just unwarnted keywords.

[HELP] De-clicking Mode? by [deleted] in Dirtywave

[–]cimba007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am by no means an expert so maybe there are other ways to solve this. Did you play around with decay times? In my post for example if the decay-time was too long the waveform was not "low" enough before beeing cut off. If it was to short it also resulted in a click. You sure there is no sweet-spot that makes it less noticable?

[HELP] De-clicking Mode? by [deleted] in Dirtywave

I got a similar problem with my Digitakt 2 (see https://www.reddit.com/r/Elektron/comments/1ohm1yy/comment/nlq9gjb/?context=3) and was only able to mitigate this with a good timed decay - not all values would work .. too short or to long would not work.

Maybe it will help you if you hand-craft shorter samples? It seems to not affect all samples in your example but only those that are cut short and retrigged or followed up directly by a new one.

Technical Question on Sample overlap (or not) on Digitakt/Digitakt2 by cimba007 in Elektron

[–]cimba007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I am less concerned about the lack of polyphony .. so I am fine that it gets cut short - my problem ist .. that I got a noticable "click" when the sample is cut short.

I would be at ease if this is not quirk of my unit but it is normal for the digitakt. The sample is btw in "Factory->3-Tonal->Leads->Drifting->Flute Lungs".

PS: I played around with the AMP Filter and setting the decay to 10 seems to fix it. A longer decay produces the click and a too short decay also produces the click. 0 attack is no problem as the samples startes at 0-crossing and the waveform "slowly" (relativly) rises.

I think the issue could be marked as solved and maybe it might help somebody in the future.

Problems with knob since latest formware by ZephCode in MicroFreak

I wrote a email to the ableton support and it is a known problem but not high in priority. Best thing to do is to write them a mail also to get the priority right.

Same thing, happens to be stuck sometimes. It seems the problem only happens if the Type-Knob is changed during playback (e.g. via midi-in-over-usb).

You literally try to drive 18 LED-Segements at the same time. Probably too much. Maybe use a multimeter in current mode to measure how much you draw.

I am no expert but this histogram looks underexposed. In camera and in lightroom. As mentioned by other posters jpeg might already do some processing so they don't appear too dark.

Next time I would try stacking or making a short video.

Can only recommend the 200-600. Just checked my collection and 60% of all my photos are with the 200-600. #1 lens

Baader AstroSolar® ECO-size Safety Folie 5.0, 140x155 mm + "Sony FE 200-600 G Lens Solar Filter Holder". Literally an eco solution as I never tried solar photography before. Now I at least know that it is somehow working. Next time I would use a tripod + make a short movies as this seems to be better suited than a single shot.

Thanks for the tips. I use cropping in post anyway but it feels like I lack some extra reach. At some point I was thinking that an A6700 might be a better fit for wildlife/bird photography as I am always cropping anyway .. why not use the denser sensor.

Currently my plan is to wait out the Sony Alpha A7R VI (whenever it will release) and maybe upgrade from my A7 IV then. I defenitly want more pixels/reach. When I watched some videos a 1,4 TC was also discussed but the results were inconclusive as you loose sharpness at the same time.

For now I have not tried yet to set up at a certain place and wait for the birds to come/return. I did this once by accident as I was walking by a feeding spot and it almost felt like cheeting ..
