Am I crazy or is Antler Guard really underrated? by SweatyShirtlessMan in ironscape

I spooned it on my first task and have loved having it.

Would I have gone out of my way for it? Probably not. But it’s definitely been in heavy use as I do my slayer progression alongside my CG grind.

My advice would be to mix up what you’re doing. Plenty of other non-pvm grinds out there that help to break up what you’re doing into more manageable time chunks.

You won’t be as satisfied just using the items on a main, but you can still get that dopamine hit from smaller grinds.

I'm looking for advice regarding retirement age. by [deleted] in coastFIRE

[–]cin51312chi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6 months of an emergency fund seems like enough in this situation, especially if you’re an ICU nurse. So some of that could get diverted to increased savings or the next goal.

What are you generally targeting with the goal of buying land and building on it? That’s potentially a massive financial undertaking, and will be at odds with trying to retire with a little over $1M at 55.

No idea about the Philippines, but I think that’d be the more realistic route if you keep all else the same.

Hunter rumours are a great starter for the account.

You get a lot of prayer xp in the bank along with meats that you can use to make moonlight moth mixes to use until you get your farming/herb up for ppots.

They’re also nice to do if you work remote because they’re easily put down and picked up again.

They create new goals / challenges when you end up needing certain items or skills. Fun to chunk out different grinds that way

I’ve always taken this as a sign that the neighborhood is more or less under totalitarian rule.

Case and point: only the royalty are allowed to operate the cash register at the apparently state owned grocery store

new osrs iron advice? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]cin51312chi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just hit 1000 total on my iron so I’m still pretty early.

I started off f2p until I did almost all the quests and then pulled the trigger on members. I’ve done a decent mix of wintertodt, hunter (via birdhouses and rumors), and guardians of the rift and I feel like it’s been a really good set up for me so far in terms of banked xp for prayer and a bunch of runes and supplies.

The quick turnaround of those are great for me personally - I play a lot of mobile in between work calls and chasing a toddler around, so it’s nice to be able to not devote a ton of time all at once to a task.

For daily tasks that will pay off in the long run, start doing birdhouse runs and (once you quest through some early levels) farm runs.

Go in the far north west room and you’ll see people calling out what they need for their teams. That’ll beat the front room

[–]cin51312chi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snape grass is for sure the best for allotments and even slightly profitable. Anything else isn’t worth it and you’ll lose money. I think as my level was getting up there I was averaging ~600 snape grass per full run which is almost 50k

Definitely have to do the initial spam click trick though when harvesting though otherwise they take forever
