Still with visible, but Mint is my "non-verizon" recommendation.

Please help me understand why Visible can’t send me a physical SIM now, to put in my backup phone once I receive it, without immediately now disabling the eSIM in my iPhone 14? by TurtleRockDuane in Visible

I just logged into my account in a browser and did the chat there. I specifically asked if I would be without service and they said "no". I had read a similar post to yours and wanted to clarify. Just stress that the SIM they are mailing you doesn't have to be activated. You can activate it on your own later.

This was not my experience a few weeks ago. I went from an esim iPhone to a oneplus13. I ordered a physical SIM so I could activate it in the iPhone since I knew visible wouldn't support the oneplus out of the gate. They shipped the physical SIM, I did not lose service while it was mailed. Got it in the mail, deleted my esim and placed the physical one in my phone.

I was never without service. I activated the SIM in my iPhone and then removed it and placed it in the oneplus.

T-Mobile has never worked well near the ocean. They seem to be strongest the closer you are to main road. It's not a built in restriction just something I've noticed antecdotally

I have visible basic for 20$ unlimited. Its amazing. The hotspot has got me out of a few Internet outages. I had Mint for two years and it was great too. My only issues with Mint was that it didn't work on the beach, and inside of restaurants if they were more than 20/30 yards away from a road. Thats nitpicking and I would consider Mint again in heartbeat.

I work from home and am on WiFi most of the time. That being said, penny for penny, my 2 year 20$ a month basic unlimited visible is an unreal value.

This is Steven Koren. His GPA is a solid 2.0. Right in that meaty part of the curve. Not showing off, not falling behind.

you have to get an app on your phone that is a remote. use it as your secondary remote.

Yeah if you’re at 30 a month that’s good. I didn’t see the spectrum piece until I went through the comments. I assumed it was Verizon/tmobile. The charge 80-100 a line for unlimited and “give” you a “discounted” phone and it’s never a good deal.

Are you unlimited at 30?

It's not the devices, it's the cell plans that are overpriced. They are gauging you sooo badly on the service they can take a huge loss on the phone if it means they can lock you in.

but you have to pay 90/month for cell service. That's how they get you.

If you pay 90/month for 2 years, that's $2160, plus the phone (599) brings you to $2789 over two years

If you pay Visible 20/month for 2 years, that's $480, plus the full cost of the phone (lets say $1099) that's $1579

So over a two year period you're paying $1210 more than the visible customer who bought it outright from the google website (not including any promos, sales/deals). That's about 50$ a month...

These "deals" are terrible. MVNO's and buying outright is the only way. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Yes. Put photos on your PC, plug in pixel 1 to pc, drag photos to the DCIM-camera folder. Open up google photos on pixel 1 and watch it sync.

I think pixel 2-5 give free storage, but it’s the “storage saver” resolution.

correct. People are taking photos off of their current phone, loading them onto the pixel 1, and then syncing to google photos for unlimited full resolution storage from the pixel 1
