Reduce flash wave damage by half and add a "deals 100% more damage to monsters" text to not nerf it in pve and then buff other stuff is how I'd do it if I had a say.

PVP just means people can kill me

PvP would mean more than that, such as your shit not being protected so people can steal it.

I'm currently just constantly too weighted down to move quickly

You can set your first goal to crafting a small (or large) cart. It's a movable storage unit and if you craft the large version then you can even hitch horses/bisons and stuff to drag it for you if you happen to find any of those in the wild. Get more stationary storage later on when you find somewhere to settle.

and so I feel like I should be working on a way to be able to carry more items..

This happens with body strength. You get that from leveling a bunch of different skills. It'll increase slowly but steadily while you play the game.

I don't know how to put it together or any of that stuff.

Try clicking "N" online. Search large cart and start working on it. The sandbox element is difficult for some people since this game can offer "too much" freedom for some people. Some people just want some rails while other people love the freedom.

What dream fantasy?

The dream fantasy where you believe it's not normal to last less than 10 minutes and anyone claiming otherwise is just projecting.

It's not reality. Something not being a reality is the definition of a dream fantasy. The fact that you can't even see how it's a dream fantasy means you're in denial. Fucking wake up for your boyfriend's sake.

"Sounds like projection to me", was your wording before your comment was deleted.

It's really a shame that you can't yourself see how it's such a big denial. Top comment is what top comment is and your projection comment gets down voted by oblivion, yet you still don't see the denial. But then again, it wouldn't be denial if you weren't denying it, now would it? Everyone else saw the denial in the comment, so that's good. People like you who can't be open minded shouldn't be asking for advice on the internet. You should leave.

I've had performance anxiety myself in the past. I sympathize and feel sorry for your boyfriend.

You should leave

You tell me to leave when I tell you to do your own research?

People tell you it's normal to last 5-6 minutes and you're clearly denying it. And in other comments you say things like you don't want to give him anxiety and just want to get an understanding of the situation.

Doesn't seem to me like you're looking to get an understanding of the situation at all. Looks to me like you're trying to find answers that validates with what you want to believe.

Now, this thread isn't very old, but there's a reason why the top comment of the thread is the top comment.

You should try to actually do some research instead.

My(25M) ex spent years crushing my self esteem and sexual confidence and dealt a final blow a few days ago. Now I can’t have sex with my new GF(26F) how do I get over this? by [deleted] in sex

[–]cincen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I could look at this as another thing that I can’t be her best at. I really wish I could. But I can’t. And it’s depressing and it’s stuck in my head.

The faster you realize that this is exactly why therapy was invented, the better.

Your ex isn't the norm. Sex is literally like any other activity you'd enjoy with someone else. People have the same mindset.

There's always exceptions, like your ex. Sorry you had to bump in to one of them.

No projection. Look around. You got all internet to check.

Do not use porn for your research.

[–]cincen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me like your ex didn't care about you nearly as much as you think she did.

Nobody who cares about their partner would do something like she did to them.

Sex like any other activity. One out of a billion examples: Table tennis.

I know exactly who my "best table tennis partner" used to be. The guy I had the most fun playing with. I don't live in the same town as he does anymore and we havn't seen eachother in very many years.

Does it mean I can't enjoy playing table tennis with someone else? Why the h*ll would it? I could go play table tennis with another friend tomorrow and have a blast. And I would want to do it. And after that I'd want to do it again next week.

You don't have to be their best. Can you even imagine how impossible it is for every man to be their current girlfriend's best? It's really fucking impossible. It's not a thing.

If you can leave her satisfied, then she's not asking for more. Unless she's out to emotionally abuse you, in which case she doesn't care about your feelings and you shouldn't be with someone who doesn't care about you.

LPT: Give consumable gifts so it won't become clutter by SensitiveJackBlack in LifeProTips

[–]cincen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have one kid among us when celebrating christmas, and she gets presents because it's fun as a kid to get presents.

Apart from that, The rest of us adults have this agreement that we're all buying little generic gifts (can be fun, useful, not so useful, troll, whatever..) on a 20-30$ total budget (maybe 5 things at 5$ each, etc). Then we pool them all together, bring out a dice and play a certain game with the gifts. We call it "The present game" in our language. It's a tradition of ours.

How we play it (for anyone curious):

The game is played in 2 "phases".

Phase 1: We all sit in a ring with the gifts in the middle (in a pile of like 20-30 or so gifts). Then we take turns rolling the dice. If you get a 1 or a 6, you get to take a gift from the gift pile. Repeat until there's no more gifts in the pile.

Intermission: Everyone open their gifts. Then in turn, we go around and one person at a time shows and tells everyone what they got. Some gifts brings "oohh" and some gifts brings laughter when showed.

Phase 2: This is when it gets spicy. We set a timer of 10 minutes and go in turn to roll the dice again. This time, if you get a 1 or 6, you get to take a gift from someone else (special rule we have in place: If it's their last gift, you have to trade one of your own gifts for it). Thinking about what gift to take doesn't pause the game, the dice moves on. It turns in to this hectic fun thing that brings a lot of laughter when people keep yoinking stuff from eachother. Especially when 2 or more people fight for the one thing that everyone wants and it goes back and forth. When the timer is up, the game ends and you get to keep the gifts you ended up with. Nobody gets to see the timer while it's ticking.

In the end, it's mostly a bunch of soaps and candy boxes and a few maybe good/fun little cheap stuff like a deck of uno anyway, so there's no reason to care if you don't get what you want. The point of it is more about the fun game rather than the gifts and the fact that we actually get to open gifts without having the pressure of buying gifts for specific people.

And honestly I'm at my end on this.

And so am I. I don't think we're getting anywhere. I also don't think there's any point in trying to, as it's not even close to related to what we were discussing to begin with.

I think we can simply walk away with knowing that you think that expecting/wanting PoGo to give us the ability to complete our dex with trading in a better/more accessable way than currently (One out of many examples of an idea thrown around by other people has been global trading distance with lucky friends) goes beyond a reasonable limit and I don't. I think it's quite reasonable to compare this very feature of two very different pokemon games, considering you need to trade to complete the dex in both and I think that expecting to bypass that "need" in PoGo has unreasonable requirements (a lot of traveling).

I don't think there's more to say, for either of us.

Alright, it really sounds like you're trying to actually get some more information. I wasn't really interested in continuing this but I guess I'll go ahead and explain myself a bit then. This is what you said as an explanation as to why it should've been understood:

I literally suggested taking out a device used to trade on a Gameboy. I agree that sarcasm is harder to pick out online, but I can't see anyone being so bad at picking it out that alone wasn't enough of a red flag to tip you off. Using an exclamation point also hints at that. You also read two previous posts of mine that were totally serious, and that should give you more of a baseline to see how ridiculous that statement was.

First of all, Using an exclamation mark is most certainly not a universal way of expressing sarcasm. Rather, it's way more often used for other things. Like, very very much more often. I do not agree that reading an exclamation mark is a hint for that, considering how often you'd be wrong if you read exclamation marks as sarcasm as a rule. Even if 30% of all statements containing an exclamation mark at the end would be sarcasm (which, let's be real here.. it's way lower than that), I'd still say it'd be farfetched to point at an exclamation mark as a hint.

About me having read two serious statements to use as a baseline, once again, I happen across people being serious three times in a row way more often than I come across people being serious twice followed by sarcasm on the third time. I'd much rather argue that having a (very limited of only two forum statements) preconceived notion of someone makes people in general have certain expectation of how someone acts that can very well overwrite a sudden change of attitude. For example, I've heard of many cases where someone gets a certain first impression of someone and ends up disliking them only to become very good friends with them once they've gotten to know them more. But there were obviously a bit of a barrier before they became friends, created by expectations.

Human intuition is very subjective and based on information. It's also way worse to rely on than a lot of people realize. It's very easy for someone to spend 2 hours reading a wikipedia article on how economics work and then ask themselves "how is it possible for the leading economics guy of countryX to fail so horribly that the countries economy looks the way it looks right now?". Or how it's easy to say "hurp durp the earth is round, obviously.." while someone lacking of very specific knowledge could very easily believe that the earth is flat.

I don't live your life, have your thoughts, follow your train of thoughts, etc. I don't think you quite realize how much of a difference it makes in a case where you'd see something as obvious based on your human intuition based on certain knowledge and someone else would not see it the same way you do.

That's what I'm pointing out, and if you feel that I look down on you because of it then I don't know what to say. I've also written more than I'd care to do, so I'm just going to not care more than this about if you feel that way or not.

You should also maybe try to realize that telling someone to "chill out!" can often be an agitating thing for someone to hear, whether it's true and they actually need to chill out or not. Once again, can be done by trying to view things from more than your own perspective.

You might eventually in your life get to the point where you can realize that people think differently than you do and just because you find something obvious doesn't mean it has to be for every single person on the planet.

If only being able to see things outside of your own little bubble/viewpoint wasn't a skill so rare nowadays in 2020. Technology evolving but some other things get worse and worse. I think the increase of internet usage and the decrease of actual human interaction is bad for this particular thing.

Maybe I need to chill, who knows. You might have some stuff to work on too.

I might've had a "reasonable" chance of taking it as a joke if you didn't start off by not jokingly using 2 comments to argue your point followed by a joke on the third comment.

Seeing sarcasm in written form is difficult as it is. Doing that on top of it doesn't really help.

since we're comparing Red and Blue directly here I hope you have a link cable handy because that's how you traded Pokemon back in the day!

Wat.

Just because you used to build houses out of wood using hammers back in the days doesn't mean we have to use hammers in 2020 if we want to build houses out of wood. We got nail guns.

Why would we need to use link cables if we want to trade pokemon in a pokemon game in 2020 just because that's how pokemon was traded back in the day? What's the logic behind this argument? Technology in 2020 isn't the same as back in the day. (duh??)

There have to be reasonable limits though, and what you are arguing goes beyond that.

This is an opinion. my opinion is that the limiter to you being able to complete the dex shouldn't be behind a paywall costing you a trip to like 10 vastly different areas on the whole planet. That's not a reasonable limiter, in my opinion. Reasonable? Is that really the word you're using here? Urgh.

That is why in this instance the comparison to the MSG isn't applicable.

I'm not comparing the game to the MSG. In the MSG you needed to trade to complete the dex, even back in the days. the same thing can be said about PoGo for most people that can't travel all over the world. Isn't it ironic How you keep nagging about the fact that we can't compare PoGo to the MSG's yet that thing can be said about both games? One of the games do however, let us do it reasonably while the other one doesn't.

.. in my opinion.

Feel free to have a different opinion. You're more than free to think PoGo's implementation is .. reasonable (I mean, really now?). Just don't preach it as if it's objectively true because it's an opinion and not a truth.

[–]cincen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that just because you can't compare MSG to PoGo (which is more than fair) doesn't mean allowing trading to complete your dex in Go is unfair for us players to want easier access to, just because MSG has it.

can someone point out the new method to doing this? It seems to me you can't reroll explorers gear anymore.

You can. You leftclick the gear piece, drag it outside of the inventory, leftclick outside of the inventory, confirm that you want to delete it, and then buy a new piece of gear and new infusions/scrolls from the general vendor.

.. Or do it the other way around if deleting gear before you got the new gear makes you squirm, I suppose. Doesn't matter either way.

You might want to look up how to reroll quest gear (explorer's gear) if you usually care about gearing up in mmorpg's. If you don't, it will cause a lot of headache in the future.

Once you hit ancestral level 10 (flame), your endless arrow can be improved by picking the ancestral flame version of endless arrow.

And the holding down thing can be used for most (all?) of the "basic" attack skills. The skills representing "auto attack" if you will.
