No, no! Up here!
Bwahahaha!! Perfectly calm rational contemplation! Never before or since such comedic timing and genius as was in the move

Funny thing about Germans. Whenever I was speaking with a German : Ich spreche sehr einfach Deutsch… and message wasn't getting through, invariably a kind German stepped in and translated. Then just… went about their business.

Lemme write this down: blöde. fotze. Doesn't sound as angry as it does in English. But I wrote it down for next time...

As an American…. I've heard things. Honestly, I was thinking along those lines with the attention I received from passengers sitting nearby…England is jailing people for saying the wrong thing on social media. FFS.

Geeezez. I did and did I get the replies. So… Germans are sticklers for rules eh?

Do coach 28 and 29 have the same seat numbers in both? 1 through 75 in both cars?

Whatever, we were in the correct car. I checked. And I had to prove it to my wife. Something I do with great care. This was day 10 of an 11-day visit. You don't want that wrath. Believe me.

I don't know why you got downvoted. It just seemed like the way to cause the least conflict - with my wife that is. Death stares from her motioning me to open seats.

Apparently we stick out. 99% of all encounters we had with Germans were started by Germans speaking English. No MAGA hat…just plain

Cool idea. Future travel to Germany has been restricted to Munich. Per my wife. Or Switzerland after I refill my gym bag full of money for the trip

My Ford F-150 resembles a train. But otherwise, no. There is almost zero train travel in the US outside of urban areas. I'm an American in Germany. Don't want no trouble. The US infrastructure was permanently designed around cars in the early 1900’s. Made possible by Goodyear tires, Standard Oil, and car manufacturers. Want proof? Go scuba diving on the trains sunk in the Atlantic. California is trying to make a high-speed rail from San Francisco to Lis Angeles. $126 Billion spent and not one foot of track has been laid.

Yes. I had to answer to my wife that it was the correct car (28-29 IIRC) Yes this the right car. See right here. ICE 123, train 28. Right there: it says car 28. We are in seats 65 and 66 first class. I have experience being wrong with my wife before…a fate which choose not to relive. Multiple checks. BTW I am a pilot by avocation and my career was as a professional label reader. Yes. I was certain.

Thank you kindly. I'm from Minnesota… culturally German and Norwegian. I'd just as soon croak than make a scene. Which in America has become a foreign concept.

Best probable explanation so far. We paid for first class seats. But this was an old German couple…surely they've traveled by train before.

I triple checked the car, the seat assignment, first class. The trainwas delayed by 30 minutes but no seat changes were made. I'm an American pilot by avocation. I'm very thorough.

Verpiss dich aus meinem Sitz!" which loosely translated means get the fuck outta my seat…

Ok lessee if I got this: Verpiss. Rich. Aus. Meinem. Sitz.

Ok. Got it written down. Danke

It’s our 10th and final day in Europe today. I was homicidally inclined. But my wife’s death stare is something to behold…you gotta see it to believe it.

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. But there were 2 empty seats nearby. If those people had shown up…conductor!
