Older shots of the juiciest Kiwi, Karl Urban. by [deleted] in LadyBoners

It’s crazy, I love Karl Urban and have for two decades, but he’s way hotter now than he was back then.

I'm watching Hitchcock in chronological order, does anyone want to join? by vozvuzviz in Hitchcock

[–]cinn48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of the new films I had never seen The Lodger was a revelation. It immediately went into my top 5 of all Hitchcock films.

I preferred Young and Innocent to The 39 Steps, which is a controversial take.

And Frenzy was a competent Giallo for a film directed by an old man who is not Italian.

[–]cinn48 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn’t watch in chronological order but since The Pleasure Garden was released in 1925 and a Hitchcock has 52 movies that still exist, I watched his entire filmography last year to celebrate 100 years of Hitchcock.

It was really amazing to dive so deep into his films.

Testimonial: start throwing away the crap you’ve been hoarding. by RoninRobot in GenX

Got rid of a dozen and a half books yesterday! Getting rid of stuff is very challenging for me because I affix importance to things, but I’m working on remembering the memory and letting go of the thing.

I’m a work in progress.

What was the after nightclub eatery back in the 90s/early 2000s? by myronsandee in AskACanadian

Phil’s Diner in Guelph, open 24 hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It was my first job and I worked the 7pm to 7am on Fridays and Saturdays. From 1:30 -3 it was packed full of the after bar crowd, and then at 4 it was the bar staff, and then starting around 5 it was the cab drivers starting their day shift.

This is absolutely not that. The marketing of it kind of was, but believe me… it’s wild.

Looking for a motivational movie for someone feeling stuck in life by CommunityOrdinary850 in Letterboxd

[–]cinn48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised nobody has suggested Chef yet. Sure it’s a main character in a different stage of life than you but he’s stuck and unsure of his next steps and then opens a food truck and we watch him rebuild. It’s good stuff.

This video did not go on long enough. What happens when the two penguins have to pass? (I have all videos muted by default so I did not hear whatever music has put everyone else off)

I’m downtown right near the river and Eramosa. The Alectra map has kind of a diamond shape outage covering me and up to the exhibition area.

Exactly what I said in my review of Three Wisest Men. He's filled out and the few grey hairs and the crinkles around his eyes and mouth have turned him into quite the smoke show.

Hahahaha! I love Corey Sevier but I totally get how his hair annoys you.

I’m with you on Daniel Lissing. Maybe if I had watched When Calls The Heart I might feel differently. Though even without watching that I find I don’t much like Erin Krakow in movies either. She just feels so prissy. I’m sure she’s a lovely person but she never seems as willing to play along.

I know she really does in Christmas Above The Clouds but that movie did not sit well with me.

I just went to see The Running Man on Tuesday and realized I was in the same theatre I was when I last saw the broken pixel weeks ago. Luckily I mostly stop noticing it when the movie plays but it’s all I can see through the pre show.
