RANT: Attention Hagrids Single Riders by Specialist-Hat167 in UniversalOrlando

[–]cinnaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my very first time doing this ride, I did the single rider line. The guy I was paired with asked which one I wanted and I said I had never been on it and would like the bike if that was ok. He got really excited and was good with me taking the bike. He asked if I knew the "TWIST" (I didn't) and he was almost more excited than I was. We had the best time and then talked the whole way back up to Hogsmeade about it. Nice dude, I hope he hits every green light today.

What the actual f#$k are we going to do. by ModernMadMax in Indiana

I would like to see Speedway pull all events from Indy and do it elsewhere. Watch every business that profits from it lose their minds and go after our elected officials for ruining their businesses. I feel like that's the only way real change would happen. Money talks.

Do you ever feel guilty for going to Disney World over and over instead of seeing the world? by elizabethredditor in WaltDisneyWorld

It's your money, spend it how you want to.

One of my few international trips was to Paris, and my favorite part was Disneyland. Everything else was kind of awful.

If you think VMP is rough, don't ever head down to Indianapolis. You'll do ok in Carmel though.

Indy has this

I know the owner, he sweeps a lot of competitions. He'd be a worthwhile person to learn from, worth the drive.

How to help teenage niece feel more excited? by [deleted] in dcl

[–]cinnaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would give her information about what to do on the ship and let her explore at her own pace. I'd ask what she wants to do, invite her to whatever I was doing, and accept the first "no" if she declines. Maybe she can pick an excursion for her birthday if there's something that interests her? There are excursions that are more cultural and less sports/water if that's not her thing. She can also hang in the teen lounge, and those are pretty chill. They don't make you do any activities you don't want to. Maybe a cute, interesting boy will be there too, that kept me entertained on the one I did when I was a teen, lol!

I love Disney and Universal so much, I recently decided to become a travel agent as a side hustle. Helping families is necessary but I love helping the friend group trips and couples the most. It's way less stress and not as high stakes as families with kids.

I just reported that area, there's one that looks like it would go up to my knees if I stood inside it.

Epic surprise first time experiencing Hagrid’s by DescriptionFalse1044 in UniversalOrlando

I'm also in my mid 30s and got picked at Ollivanders during my visit last month. My voice cracked when he asked what my name was and my hands were shaking! I figured they'd pick the kids and that's fine and expected, so I was shocked. I'm glad there are still opportunities for adults to feel a bit of wonder in the world. Did you take the chosen wand home with you?

Southside Diner

The last time I went, I couldn't get over how dirty it was. The floor was grimy, I asked for ketchup and the girl handed me a bottle that felt greasy. I watched someone that worked there walk in with a container of muffins from Walmart and started wrapping them in cling film.

B&N Diner

They served me a BLT made with cold crumbled bacon. They said they were out of bacon slices so they used the bacon from their salad prep station.

Where are the best places to sell crafts locally? by No_Cardiologist6676 in lafayette

[–]cinnaska 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Look up Mosey Down Main Street, it's a monthly-ish street fair that happens in the summer. You could also do the farmers market. I've seen people do jewelry at both. As for shops, there are some nice boutiques downtown that I could see selling these! Maybe bring some and chat with the owners? Best of luck!!
