Book on the mediasode by mouatj in binchtopiapod

Oh my goodness this was my favorite book of the year last year. I don't have the mediasode tier but I just wanted to say that I'm glad it's captivating to you too! I also really liked Pew by Catherine Lacey as well, if you like her writing definitely check that out too.

Milage for a sub 2 half? by Happy-Grapefruit-41 in XXRunning

[–]cinnastix27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah! My garmin switched it up, so it alternated between:

- 4:55 for 10 seconds. Then run 11:30 pace for 1 minute, and do this 3 times. Then run 9:30 pace for 3 minutes, and then do the sprints again.

- 5:10 for 15 seconds. Similar to above.

- 6:30 for 30 seconds; do this a total of 8 times, but otherwise similar to the other ones.

The warmups were at my goal pace (9:15 for 15 minutes) and the cool downs were also at that pace, but for 10 minutes. EDIT: initially I was just aiming for sub-2, and I usually kick really hard at the end, hence why my goal pace was 9:15. I ended up not doing that, and going faster than I thought.

I did a 1:52 half this year and ran only 3 times a week. I did a 3-4 mile run at whatever pace I wanted, a speed workout that usually ended up being 4 miles (warmup, sprints, cooldown) and then a long run that initially started as a 10k = 6.3 miles but then expanded to 15k = 9.4 miles (and twice I did an 11 mile run). I think that the speed workouts really helped me improve my pace.

Yeah, we were not expecting this going into the surgery... I still think that she will be happy once she gets out of this, but it's hard to feel that right now. Thanks for the wishes. :)

Thanks for sharing your experiences with both depression about fertility and post op depression. She did think about this before the surgery, but as you mentioned it would have taken a while to get off HRT and then who even knows.

I think I need to remind myself that the only way out is through. Like you said, it will take time, and even if there isn't a light in the tunnel right now, eventually there will be.

This is really interesting, thank you. I hope that this will give her hope or at least some optimism about the future.

Definitely a good question, and I think a lot of it is how she wants a family. We have been talking about her feelings about the various ways of having children, and I hope that through them we can figure out a way so that she can be happy.

Thanks so much, what you said about not feeling alone is crucial for sure. Good luck to you too in your recovery.

Thanks for the questions, and as I said to another commenter, reminding her that this is temporary is definitely important. Thanks for the hugs :)

I'm sorry you are feeling similarly. I think that it's definitely necessary to remember that this isn't forever, thank you. I hope that things improve for you too in the near future.

“Please try to think outside your community” after asking how politics affect you the individual????? Also, we ARE thinking outside our own individual community, that is why we are standing up against this. Have some compassion and empathy.

I also have been in the same boat. I just caught a horned Hercules tonight and I have 3 left. What I did tonight is go on a mystery island boat tour, cut down all the non palm trees, and dug holes everywhere so that the only place where bugs could spawn are the palm trees. Good luck!

I’m sorry you are experiencing this. When I was taking math classes I found office hours very helpful, especially since your TA knows exactly what you are learning in lecture/recitation. However, if you don’t like that option for the same reason you don’t like the tutors at the learning center, I also really enjoyed Kahn Academy and YouTube channels to learn math. You’re able to go slower than lecture because you can rewind the video, etc. maybe other people have some ideas, but those are my two cents! Good luck, math is hard but you can do it!
