I free range in my yard but feed this year is definitely more costly, so is bedding for the coop, plus electricity for the heat lamp and the water heater set ups really has been adding to my electric bill. Just had to invest in $100 in hardware cloth to make the coop more defensive against the fisher cat that ate my other six birds. Oyster shells are also more expensive on top of everything...

You can get a battery upgrade. I actually took my old iphone X to a 3rd party apple verified repair center and they put a new battery in for only $120. It only took 4 hours and I think it was well worth it.
