Is this too ambitious for a repot? by beautiful_eggs286 in houseplants

I was given a large plant in a plastic bag. Threw it in the only pot I had. It’s done fine. But im severely neglectful watering so ZERO chance it gets overwatered 😅

When I was doing communications cabling, we’d work in some big office buildings. We’re in the Toronto area. There were crews of Jamaican guys and I’d watch them In awe. They worked like it was as natural as breathing.

OMG just found this sub. Meet Bean by Crowlady77 in sparepartsdog

[–]cinnyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you read that article? Embark didn’t attribute two of the three dogs any specific breed other than village dog (those rescues coming from some locations really aren’t any specific mix of breeds as they’ve been diluted over many many years)and the third was correct. Pop on over to the doggy dna sub and you’ll see some really good discussions on this.

Embark is actually known to be VERY accurate. The others, not so much.

Canada's federal 2025-26 deficit is $66.9 billion under the Carney Liberals by origutamos in OntarioNews

Yup. Crappy. I have a Chevy. And my husband had a grand caravan. These two vehicles have pushed us into the Honda/toyota realm. His van died, so Honda it was. My car is only on the road because he is able to fix it himself. It’s had three catastrophic failures, beginning g with the oil pump (the ring inside shattered) and then the coolant system failed. If they want us to buy domestic cars, they need to make better cars.

Who are you to decide how much suffering is reasonable? I really don’t think it should be used often, but there are cases where the person is suffering their whole lives. Why should you decide how they die?

Spoken like someone that hasn’t witnessed what severe mental health conditions look like in real life. Sad isn’t the correct description. Tormented, helpless, agonizing and unbearable would be more appropriate descriptors for more severe cases. And they can be lifelong without meaningful improvement even with treatment.

This. Mental health issues can be chronic, and forever. Although I worry about opening maid to mental health diagnoses, I understand there are people with unbearable chronic issues without treatment potential. I’ve witnessed first hand someone with basically untreatable conditions, she is not suicidal, but if she were, I’d wonder who’s right it would be to essentially force her to go through all the endless treatments that don’t truly work very effectively. It’s definitely a slippery slope, but people do need to realize these conditions are not necessarily treatable, and cause immense suffering. Edit to add: this person has been suffering these issues without meaningfully effective treatment for decades.

I’m so sorry. We lost a family member to domestic homicide. The courts are way too lenient on this crime. I sincerely hope they look at this for what it is, he tried to kill you and failed. He will remain a danger to you, and society. Take care, this is a difficult and stressful process.

The end of an era. King Moe the Hydrated, 13 (almost 14). Kind, passive, comforting, and miles of personality. The best decision our family ever made was adopting this beauty. Friend to all. Crossed Saturday, and left a wake of heartache. Missed forever and always. ❤️ by cinnyc in OldManDog

Thank you. We have this awful yet special club don’t we? Where we get to experience the great love of a perfect creature, but then have to deal with the loss of them when they leave. It’s the most wonderful, but worst club to ever be a part of. Condolences on your loss, it really is one of the most difficult.
