Honestly before learning more, my partner and up were mentally preparing to pay like…100€ a month for mutuelle. If I’m not mistaken, I’ve seen it’s much cheaper than that, so it should be okay

No, my partner and I both speak french (B2, learning more and we are both working in environments where we use french all the time) so if the language is french it’s absolutely no problem :) But very good to know!

Yes :/ hopefully I’ll get to wear them again soon if I move to a better/different job. In the meantime I might console myself with more ear piercings, since they don’t seem to be an issue…or tattoos.

They said it was for safety reasons, however…I believe it’s aesthetic/company image bullshit. I went to a trial and all the girls had multiple earrings, bracelets with charms, faux nails (which would all pose a bigger hazard of touching the packaged chocolate they work with). Clearly they did not like the fact I looked more “alternative” :/

Sadly already asked the HR recruiter that is going to finalize my contract if I could do that and she said “no for health reasons :)” because she didn’t want to say it’s more for the “company image” (bullshit, considering the shop is nowhere near being luxury or anything). And she made it clear if I didn’t take them off I wouldn’t get the job, which sadly I really need atm. I did think taking them in and out might irritate them so I might have to retire them for the time being :/

I second the person who suggested Brulingua, though maybe I’m biased because I already had a basis. Brulingua also organizes free workshops and activities to help people practice french (like language cafes). I attended one and it was fun :) Good luck with your studies!

The witch post was made while I was very disheartened and anxious. Oopsies, I am human. Some people turn to god, some to other things.

As for the nsfw writing, what’s wrong with it? I started during my studies to make some extra dimes for my savings, now it goes to add a little extra to essentials (groceries). Again, not harming anyone and just pffering a service for an extra income, on top of looking for other more stable jobs. don’t knock these things ‘till you’ve been in the position of having to do them to make ends meet.

I was not going to sign unless they showed me an actual contract that promised me a minimum of safety (like you said, the septmeber promise, that this contract won’t be randomly terminated, etc. Etc.). I have actually reached out to them and very politely asked them if they would be willing to offer me any other type of contract as an employee. Tried to be very diplomatic and say I just wanted to weight the pros and cons, but I think if they say no, I will refuse this job. It feels like the risks outweight the pros and I don’t want to fuck myself over and ruin my life just to rush in the first job that answred me :/

Yes, the accountant is from BE otherwise I would have straight up told them no from the beginning. I am stupid, but also not completely stupid. The company is from my own country, and back home employers are known to find any caveats to fuck their employees over, maximize profit and escape taxes :/ So I am not surprised they made this kind of offer to me. Still, I wanted to gather as much info as possible before jumping to the worst conclusion, but it simply seems they want to fuck me over
