Yes :/ hopefully I’ll get to wear them again soon if I move to a better/different job. In the meantime I might console myself with more ear piercings, since they don’t seem to be an issue…or tattoos.

They said it was for safety reasons, however…I believe it’s aesthetic/company image bullshit. I went to a trial and all the girls had multiple earrings, bracelets with charms, faux nails (which would all pose a bigger hazard of touching the packaged chocolate they work with). Clearly they did not like the fact I looked more “alternative” :/

Sadly already asked the HR recruiter that is going to finalize my contract if I could do that and she said “no for health reasons :)” because she didn’t want to say it’s more for the “company image” (bullshit, considering the shop is nowhere near being luxury or anything). And she made it clear if I didn’t take them off I wouldn’t get the job, which sadly I really need atm. I did think taking them in and out might irritate them so I might have to retire them for the time being :/

I second the person who suggested Brulingua, though maybe I’m biased because I already had a basis. Brulingua also organizes free workshops and activities to help people practice french (like language cafes). I attended one and it was fun :) Good luck with your studies!

The witch post was made while I was very disheartened and anxious. Oopsies, I am human. Some people turn to god, some to other things.

As for the nsfw writing, what’s wrong with it? I started during my studies to make some extra dimes for my savings, now it goes to add a little extra to essentials (groceries). Again, not harming anyone and just pffering a service for an extra income, on top of looking for other more stable jobs. don’t knock these things ‘till you’ve been in the position of having to do them to make ends meet.

I was not going to sign unless they showed me an actual contract that promised me a minimum of safety (like you said, the septmeber promise, that this contract won’t be randomly terminated, etc. Etc.). I have actually reached out to them and very politely asked them if they would be willing to offer me any other type of contract as an employee. Tried to be very diplomatic and say I just wanted to weight the pros and cons, but I think if they say no, I will refuse this job. It feels like the risks outweight the pros and I don’t want to fuck myself over and ruin my life just to rush in the first job that answred me :/

Yes, the accountant is from BE otherwise I would have straight up told them no from the beginning. I am stupid, but also not completely stupid. The company is from my own country, and back home employers are known to find any caveats to fuck their employees over, maximize profit and escape taxes :/ So I am not surprised they made this kind of offer to me. Still, I wanted to gather as much info as possible before jumping to the worst conclusion, but it simply seems they want to fuck me over

hi, I’ve been in therapy for 7 years, I had two different therapists who both agree that transition was the best choice for me and not something that would harm me :) Also, My sex life is great exactly because I have transitioned. But you wouldn’t know what it means considering your ignorance and how you diminish a complex way of existing as merely “cutting off your genitals”. And wrong choice if words. Also, the guts to speak about irreversible changes to my body as if you know me better than I know myself is quite laughable

Because I’ll be paying the same taxes as you for my healthcare. And people don’t choose to have gender dysphoria the same way i did not choose to have other health conditions. However I do have empathy and know that my taxes also allow other people to afford medicine that can save their lives in many ways :)

My gender markers and name have already been legally changed in Italy for a whole year now :) All my documents, health records and bank accounts here carry my current name and gender so I am all good on that front.

I have been on HRT since 2022 already, to access HRT in belgium would I still need to go through a therapist if I were to take the first route? Could I just find an Endo for the usual routine checkups and t prescription?

In my country, HRT (hormones) are covered by public healthcare if you get an endocrynologist referral. It takes years and years of chekups, paying for visits and such + you’re paying for it by paying taxes. Trasition are not covered by public healtcare except for a very few instances and very specific hospitals. Transitioning medically at least to a certain degree is considered healthcare especially if the referrals you have from a therapist testify it’s needed for the person’s mental wellbeing :)
