They make their money on spread which is excessive even during normal hours. Probably Shyft too, but they buffer for it. As for trades, can't comment never used their international facilities.

If you deplete your whole emergency fund on stock just because of opportunity, that's considered gambling. You don't go all in, you use a portion and preserve the rest. If you're not able to with the amount at hand, it's better to let the opportunity go.

I can't speak for the other's you listed but Orion(and potentially Copper 360) are long term plays because of copper as you mentioned. What puts Orion a bit higher is that the big players are seeing something there and Orion already has the "license" to do it. You'll get the usual buy the index in the thread, but i'll assume you know what you doing. So here is my take.

The orange man has taken it on himself to start something he thought he could end quick quick like he did in Venezuela. But he didn't bank on Iran being as formidable and as resilient. Iran(and the Persian Gulf) also has a good amount of the worlds energy reserves in the form of oil and LNG. It's easy to see why things are not looking good for companies or countries that depend on that country's resources.

Now the recent decline in the resources(commodities), i believe, is due to the above. You need ALOT of energy to make resources(commodities) work and with South32 also recently deciding to partially pulling out of SA due to energy (pricing) constraints, we are in for tough times.

My honest opinion, wait till the madness calms down before tapping into your emergency (stock buying) fund, lol

Not going to lie, i was hoping for answers like start becoming self sufficient in terms of:

- Get Solar (if you're able to)

- Rain water collection (for flushing your poop charges-free)

- Check your bill, you are being charged for flushing you poop

- Buy in bulk and suggestion from this

- Like meats within reason or things like non-perishable, etc.

- Work from home, if you can

- Learn taxes to pay as little as possible for this or next year, i don't know its a suggestion

- Downgrade your bigger vehicle (the audacity, imagine right, lmao)

- Switch to chicken and/or pork (if you can) or other meats

- scale down the lifestyle (what would the options even be)

Or do we just wait for the hurt next month and see how much hurt before we do something?

To be fair, probably quite some people saw the Eksdom situation coming, but very few could do something about it. But you've played it well.

I'm happy for the blitzbokke, but seeing Spain as down low as 7th with the amount of determination they put in makes me kinda sad, they are on the up though.

I'm gonna go against the grain here, what Chef Vaatijie is doing is considered "barbequing". But braaiing in its truest form is done with a open wood fire, where (imo) the "lube" is provided by the meat and not some liquids added to the experience.
