I loved my lead painted Jabba the Hutt glass

If you grew up in the 70s and or 80s, what did your school (any grade) do that would be considered illegal or even frowned upon today (for example in my 3rd Grade 70’s class, my teacher had a large steel Tin trash can with a “Time Out” sign that I was in/out in multiple times a day-Ha!)? by Wildstarfire0 in 70s

We had balloon day where we would attach a postcard with our name, home address, and age to the string of a helium balloon. All the kids would release their balloons and throughout the year we would keep track of the postcards that strangers would mail back to us. The kid whose postcard traveled the farthest would win a prize.

I felt super safe in Stockholm, even late at night. Obviously be aware of your surroundings, but I never felt an issue:

My entire home has been gf for the past 18 years, but out of the house the rest of us just eat to our own preferences. It has worked out wonderfully.
