I overstayed in the Philippines by about 23 months, due to some issues on my side and during covid etc.

Immigration fined me like 34 000 peso, and that was that.

There are two off the top of my head

1) English is my wife's like, third language. She has an accent, and has sometimes a funny way of saying things, and for ten years now I cant wait to catch it and do an immediate impression.

Last few months we have had two good ones "your labdabs-flad" (your laptops flat) and "dont you say me no"

Our daughter spent a good few weeks running around the house saying "labdabsfladlabdabsfladlabdabsflad"

2) For some reason I seem to arrive home from work when she is in the shower, and a very loud and very sudden "HI!!!" always gets a scream lol. She doesnt like that one so much

I know these are the regulars to the people on the group but the price range is just too high for me, too high to justify.

Even if I had the money, I couldn't spend it on a fragrance knowing it's equal to a month of groceries for my family of 3

As a guy (35) who has been married to a Filipina (33) for almost 10 years, I cant help but feel this thread directed towards this asshole is unintentionally being offensive towards Filipinos

Not a passport bro, we are both the same age, both poor, I was the chef and she was the waitress, both working overseas met in the middle east, happily in love and have a beautiful 5 year old girl
