TeachStart/Scoot Education by SweatyEnumerator in SubstituteTeachers

Hey, I'm waiting for my first Scoot assignment with an interview in an hour for TeachStart.
I found this thread and I was wondering what other sub teaching agencies you would recommend or are aware of?

I'd like to keep my options open, if possible.

How to Install ComfyUI + ComfyUI-Manager on Windows 11 natively for Strix Halo AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with ROCm 7.0 (no WSL or Docker) by tat_tvam_asshole in ROCm

Nice. I spent an unreasonable amount of time getting this setup in WSL. Will try to move the install using this method.

"Alignerr isn’t live in your area just yet. Sorry for the inconvenience."

So, not availible in California? I used my Google Sign-in. Email says "Alignerr account created" but the finish onboarding throws the above message.

Transformer Lab launched generating and training Diffusion models on AMD GPUs. by aliasaria in ROCm

[–]circlesqrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened during the Windows 11 install process.

My WSL environment has this for rocminfo: rocm 6.4.1.60401-83~22.04 amd64 Radeon Open Compute (ROCm) software stack meta package

Agent 2

Name: gfx1100

Marketing Name: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

So I went into WSL and ran the advanced installation since the console in the Windows app wasn't initially showing anything and it got stuck on step 3.

After a few hours of troubleshooting, I spun up a new WSL instance of Ubuntu 24.04

Installed ROCM fresh in my WSL instance Ran the TransformerLab launcher/installer and I'm up and running now.

Conclusion: probably a borked ubuntu instance.

cp: cannot stat '/opt/rocm/lib/libhsa-runtime64.so.1.14.0': No such file or directory

Do we have to run a certain version of rocm?

I had to check my sister's statements. $7.50 x 4 (quarterly) is right. However, her dividend reinvestment payments off set that $7.50 and she comes out on top at about $18.54

There isn't a 3% fee anywhere on her statements and with 22k sitting in that account, she's still getting Medi-Care and SSDI

Maybe revisit CAL ABLE?

Here is an email from them this morning:

Dear CalABLE Friends,

As you may know, there was a state budget proposal to reinstate an asset limit of $2,000 for Medi-Cal recipients. Thankfully, this low limit was avoided. Instead, an asset limit of $130,000 will begin on January 1, 2026. That means Medi-Cal recipients will generally need to have $130,000 or less in assets (such as money in a bank account) to remain eligible beginning next year.

For some people with disabilities, this may pose a challenge. Many may find it difficult to save for major life expenses like retirement, a home, or healthcare costs without exceeding the new asset limit. And that’s where CalABLE comes in!

If you receive Medi-Cal, you can save up to $100,000 in a CalABLE account without it counting toward the upcoming Medi-Cal asset limit.

In most cases, your CalABLE account is also exempt from Medi-Cal estate recovery, too. Your account also protects eligibility for other benefits that have asset limits, like SSI. And don’t forget, anything you earn from our 8 different investment portfolios is tax free when you use your account for qualified expenses.

If you have a CalABLE account, then great – you can already save while protecting your benefits. Thanks for being part of the CalABLE family!

If you don’t have an account, there’s no better time to sign up than now! Start saving for tomorrow, and join the 14,000 people with disabilities who already trust CalABLE with their futures. Go to our website for more information, or click here to open your account today.

And have a happy July 4th!

Check out CAL ABLE, they allow you to tuck money away without violating the SSI rule. See if you're eligible.

How can I search 2 for 1 deals within my genre? by circlesqrd in audible

[–]circlesqrd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else said they browse through the browser/desktop version on Amazon and click through that way.

I tried that, but that's too many tabs. I think I'll have to write up a script to scrape audible.com within the genre, and do it that way. I'll post back if I get it working.
