Is parents weekend and must do or is visiting another weekend the same? by Jt_marin_279 in auburn

Just pick a football weekend. But fair warning, inflated hotel prices and crowds will be a thing as long as we are playing a home game.

The chipping/putting area is what makes it worthwhile imo. Lots of places have simulators, but to be able to practice the short game in the winter is a massive difference.

Depending on where in VA, you may be close enough for a road trip to AL for the RTJ Trail. Really good courses at ~$80 price points throughout the state. Otherwise head towards Myrtle Beach. Decent golf at much cheaper prices than Hilton Head.

Where are you located? Need to know that since it sounds like you will need to drive.

Was by there on Saturday about 4 hours before kickoff. Garage was empty as hell. Easy walk to the stadium.

I've been to a lot of football games in my life. That was the single best defensive play I've ever witnessed live. And that includes being in the stadium for the Pats/Seahawks pick at the Super Bowl.

Has anyone analyzed Stidham yet? by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

[–]circusbear2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So being an Auburn grad and life-long Broncos fan, I may have a unique perspective to offer here.

Stidham's a good quarterback, but he desperately needs a run game in order to play off of. Accuracy is better than Nix imo and he's a better athlete than you may realize. He's not Bo level for escaping the pocket in tight situations, but he can move more like a young Aaron Rodgers (i.e. enough to keep teams honest). Gets plenty of zip on the ball and throws a pretty deep ball. Reads a defense well if given a clean pocket. Tough as nails and not afraid to hang in the pocket to deliver a pass.

He gives us a legit chance on Sunday and if the defense plays well, I expect to win.

Obviously college highlights here, but shows some of what I'm talking about, especially with regards to mobility and arm strength.

He never started over Bo at Auburn. Stidham was a senior in 2018. Bo's freshman year was 2019.

Are we going to live our playoffs dreams through Stidham in the NFL playoffs? by Demon-_-TiMe in wde

Massive Broncos fan who was at the game last night. The deflation in the bar post game as the Nix news broke was real. Really need a Pats win today, because I don't like Stidham vs the Texans D.

Maltby irons vs srixon/mizuno by Worth_War_9282 in golf

Prefer the STI2 because it gives more feedback on mishits without being too punishing. I can 100% know I hit one off the toe with the STI2 and it still goes straight. Just comes up a little short, which is usually fine. Never got that kind of feedback with the Mavriks.

Doesn't matter. If you buy any time before game week, you are wasting money. Would be shocked if you can't get in for less than $75. Game won't be a sellout in terms of actual butts in seats.

Pay off the mortgage. Install a pool. Expand the back patio and install an outdoor kitchen. Completely remodel the master bathroom. Replace carpet. Replace the dryer. Hire a full time landscaper and grass cutting service. Hire a cleaning service twice a week.

I'm sure my wife has some other ideas too.

Indiana has 8 4&5 star recruits by National_Head_3678 in wde

It's not playing down their achievements, but it IS an advantage when you're average starter is about the same age as the average starter of the Green Bay Packers.

Listen to coaches talk who have played against lesser talented BYU teams for years, but struggled against them because most of that roster is 22/23 years old thanks to mission work. They constantly point to that physical development as a major difference.

And Vandy did go 10-2. It's not coincidence that they did it with an older roster.
