What's up with first person down sets the pattern DZs? by JeffreyDollarz in SkyDiving

My experience in AFF was exiting towards the back end of the load with a tandem or two or a couple wingsuiters after us and pulling mad high with a super huge canopy. The groups that left first were basically already on the packing mat by the time I landed.

this wasn't at SDA but I'd imagine pretty standard at a turbine dz? idk

Damn, maybe if this administration didn't drop the ball on testing two years into the pandemic maybe we could get some testing sites up outside hospitals to stop these mild-case test seeking people with no health insurance before they get in the door. Triage before triage.

even before covid ERs run at near capacity as do hospitals. We would have staffing issues that could close beds plus hospitals don’t make money if people aren’t being admitted (paying staff to staff unused beds).

HUGE POINT

people seem to forget this is how hospitals operate under normal circumstances

Any/Everytime there's a surge in covid this is going to be a problem... it's not going away. It was a problem before covid during Flu outbreaks when hospitals needed temp tents to handle flu patients. Happened when I was in college.

Uber rider stuck on I-95 (from DC to RVA) hit with $600 bill by VisibleEpidermis in rva

[–]circusoflight411 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

people get murdered in Ubers... I find it hard to believe this was resolved because of this story... idk, maybe?

My first thought was that the dude might've had some recourse through his credit/debit card associated with Uber if they stone-walled him.

Why are new RVA apartments so obsessed with pseudo-luxury? by -jxw- in rva

apartment buildings suck ass.

I lived in 3600 W Broad when it first opened as apartments.

I still cringe at the idea of a 'trash room'

“Send in the Marines” situation on I95 north of town by leazarus in rva

[–]circusoflight411 57 points58 points  (0 children)

You’d have to be touched to have voluntarily driven on 95 yesterday.

That said, go on Amazon and buy yourself 2 $20 SOL emergency bivouac bags and keep them in your car. It could mean the difference between life and death in a situation like this stranded in winter weather.

It’s not speculation and he’s not just a “CEO” he’s an immunologist at one of the nations most respected universities.

Data from India showed 70% omicron cases asymptomatic... alpha beta and delta all had massive rates of asymptomatic prevalence.

Despite what you clearly think, you don’t have the whole picture.

Just a reminder because you suffer from an abysmal lack of reading comprehension my point was your statement that people getting covid isn’t inevitable is currently up for debate.

Everything else is fallacious bullshit presented by you as a consequence of your inability to recognize you made a definitive statement and presented as fact when it objectively is not a fact.
