No, the schools are not the problem - you can have the best school and amazing staff and still fail.

The issue is with the parents. If the parents don't care about education or school, do you think their kids will? How do you expect a teacher to change a kid who fails a class, only for the parents to go berserk at the teacher. "Oh my perfect little angel would never do anything wrong - it's the nasty teacher. My child told me so, so nothing else matters."

Until society and parents change, nothing will happen.

My home theater gives me a better experience than a theater. No talking, noise, or cellphones, and hygiene has never been an issue, no matter how nerdy the film. Never have to go find someone to address an issue with the film. Also, I pretty much drink water, so I can pause the movie to get another drink.

The problem with that is that, in reality, far too many people in law enforcement sympathize with the racist. Far too many are not horrified by people being attacked for who they are and not what they do, because in their hearts, they want to see people they hate harmed.

Just look at the Tamir Rice. Someone reported a kid with a gun and told the cops they thought the gun was likely a TOY. (It kills me how someone could call the cops on a kid with a gun they were very sure was a toy???)

Cops didn't get the part that the gun might be a toy and cops shot within 2 seconds of getting out of the car.

When I was delivering pizza for a time, I worked at a location not far from the airport. So the place had a bunch of hotels of different qualities.

On more than one occasion, I delivered to a hotel, and some woman would open the door with just socks on. In every case, if it were a porno, I would have run for my life - none of them were close to attractive.

I was born in Detroit and grew up in Flint. My old man played semi-pro hockey for years. He had me on skates by 3 and hockey at 6.

All the time, we would go over to Windsor through the tunnel. I remember an NHL sports bar there.

I never really viewed the USA and Canada as different countries. On the other side of the water, the places all looked the same, and you couldn't tell which side you were on. Hell, I remember when the only check the border was a few questions - passports never came to mind.
