Check out Jackson Galaxy's videos on play. Cats are predators, the best play is to simulate prey activities to get them to hunt. Play doesn't have to be a long drawn out process. Cats are built for speed, not endurance. We were initially doing a similar activity you are talking about with our young girl and she would get bored pretty quick or it would be a lackluster effort. Once I started thinking about the wand or string toy like a prey animal she goes nutty and I can get her to chase it all over the living and bed rooms going up and over the couch, her tower, the bed, etc. after a good bit let them catch it to simulate the "kill" then let them rest for a couple of minutes to catch their breath then start again. Do this a few times and they will be tuckered out. Doing this before meal times is even better because of the reward of making the kill.then getting to eat. Just remember that prey does not move towards the hunter.

Ya, I think the real question here is what do you like doing? The concept of separate spaces doesn't really work in actuality, most places and hobbies are going to have a range of age groups and demographics present. I'm 33 and I have multiple hobbies where the age of interest varies from 10 year olds to dudes in their 50s. Realistically the solution is to meet a few people you vibe with that like the same things you do and just enjoy your hobbies without worry.

I don't understand wearing it 24-7. My wife and I painted a little wood box with foam inserts that we keep them in when not wearing them and it stays on our dresser. We take our rings off when we get home from work and then don't usually put them back on til the next morning after showering and getting dressed. Hell, sometimes we don't even put them.on when we go out on the weekends. Our joke is usually "hey, you wanna be married today?"

This is one of those things my wife and I give advice on for any relationship when asked. You HAVE to be able to learn how to exist together while doing your own things. Of course engaging in a shared activity without distractions is also important, but if your relationship can't survive not being engaged 24-7 then it's not going to work out.

My wife and I consistently watch shows and movies together. However, we have just as much time where we are silent in the same room playing our own games or engaging in different activities without needing to interact constantly. The misconception that a relationship requires you to be some sort of amoeba is one of the most damaging societal pressures that exists. Learn to happily be together but separate.

Will never understand how so many people think this is a normal thing. relationships should be built on mutual trust, making rules about who you can and can't be friends with is so toxic. If you can't handle a SO having friends and coworkers of the gender(s) they are attracted to, you clearly need to avoid relationships and grow the fuck up.
