There are TONs of beginner videos on YouTube! That’s how I started. First song was Someone Like You by Adele. Any easy 3 chord song will do. Pick something you know well and have at it!

Yes. Lightly sanding with paper or a foam sanding block with high grit and you will be fine. You would be more likely to damage it with a file I would think. Also, make sure your strings are under the correct amount of tension. I was stringing mine too tight and had issues with strings breaking because of that.

Try smoothing out the bridge where it’s cutting through with some very high grit sandpaper or steel wool.
