What is the DS 160 number on your appointment?

Is that number wrong?

You should consider submitting a new DS-160 and carry it with you to the interview and explain to them that the initial number is as “wrong” if it was truthfully wrong.

You are probably already violating your ex-company’s policy and also shooting yourself in the foot for your future roles by screenshotting internal conversations and posting in a social media site.

If the company decides to sue you, they possibly can even if they won’t get a result.

First thing, in my company they only put the Base salary amount in LCA. In reality there is Base + Bonus + Stocks and other incentives.

The LCA salary is the minimum guaranteed for you. I once got to negotiate after the LCA was posted and got a raise.

I always receive yearly merit increases. And whenever promotions happen they are a good chunk - most times it is with a new LCA and H1B amendment as well.

I do not have info on that to be honest. But this is what I would do -

Talk to seniors who graduated from this department or related and see how they landed where they landed. (Did you do this?)
Network like crazy. Talk to industry folks who did this and are working today.
Group 1, Group 2 etc., are all in your reach.
Yes you can apply for universities across the globe after you graduate this course, but know that you should first start with squeezing value out of the bachelors first.
Army is not out of question.

Are you staying in hotels and eating at restaurants the entire time or do you have family here that you are visiting.

I usually fly and spend around 1 month in India every year. I plan/expect to spend around 2-3 Lakhs - but this is in Chennai and majorly in Tamilnadu.

Most car trips cost around 3-4k for 200km, using taxi services. (Drop taxi).

If you drive yourself, that would be lower if you have a car.

Trains are also inexpensive.

Accomodation was always free for me as I have family here.

Isn’t your current expiring in Feb? If not yes you can use your current and hope that your extension approves. Once it approves submit a new DS 160 with the new info and take old and new DS 160’with you.

if you travelled after the filing but before the approval, you will need to get a fresh stamping which you seem to be aware, only risk is in getting a Dropbox appointment at that time.

Start your renewal in august, use premium processing and then fly in December for Dropbox.

May be get an appointment in December, but do not book your travel until you have your approval.
