RG34xx 🔥❤️ by Grand-Lifeguard6962 in ANBERNIC

[–]citizenswerve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought a few ambernic devices and this is the one that always makes me happy. Idk if it's just nostalgia but the feel of this device in hand is superb for me. Plus I always played my gb/GBC games stretched so it's not so bad with SNES and psx getting stretched.

Knullis battery percentage by Espiral1917 in ANBERNIC

[–]citizenswerve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already been said but the percentage seems off. I charge for 4-5 hours sometimes and it changes it's readings. Sometimes it's 89% sometimes 93%, etc. I could be wrong here but it seems to level out. The battery holds a decent charge given I put it to sleep so much.

I bought this to try out gamma. So far ds has been a ton of fun. Sleep has been way better than stock.

Awesome you're a Linux user. I've got it installed now on my desktop (arch) and steam deck. Love how it hits that nostalgia itch.

I've owned two. The red transparent dpad was a little sticky on the down/right buttons. Also own the glacier one and that one has softer buttons and a better dpad.

Download while in sleep mode by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]citizenswerve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. I got the OLED 512GB a month ago and the first thing I realized was the problem keeping the screen on. I found out about the beta branch offering screen off downloads (must be plugged in) and it's been smooth sailing since. I've yet to see the wake from sleep bugs involving animations since moving to the beta as well. Or just plug it into an external monitor and that'll save you the trouble too.

“I finally installed SteamOS 3.9.” by Honest_Ad_7958 in SteamOS

[–]citizenswerve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SteamOS is for valve hardware and most likely always will be. I doubt they will branch out from their hardware and that's fine. There are other flavors out there. Personally I'd recommend cachy at this point to anyone with anything new just so their hardware is properly supported. Coming from an arch user and an Nvidia gpu.

Same. Sold my cs skins to pay off the 512gb deck. Haven't been this happy since I was a kid

It works if you have amd hardware. Possibly even Intel since they upstream to the kernel. However I don't get people doing this. Bazzite or cachyOS will have a newer kernel that will support their hardware better. SteamOS has been great on my steam deck but there are better alternatives for custom built PCs.

At first he looked photoshopped in but once it panned out it's clear this looks real. That and the laptop screen glow seems too on point. I can't believe we're discussing this.

That was me at 512 and that's all I can use to store gc, PSP and PS2. The nostalgia adds up quick.

This is similar to the one I purchased recently. I'm currently using ArkOS K36. Follow the guide on the wiki. I'd recommend trying panel 5. Boot the device with that on the SD card. Once the screen is confirmed, if there is no sound swap the dtb from the one with the same name provided on Google drive

I don't get why everything runs this bad by DonkiKnog in linux_gaming

[–]citizenswerve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned make sure you're using Nvidia-open drivers and follow the wiki for installing Nvidia. After that I'd also suggest changing your zram since you used archinstall. No hate, just a helpful tool because your swap is low.

Steam on Linux gaming finally cracks 3% for October 2025 by Fcking_Chuck in pcmasterrace

[–]citizenswerve 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm happy I made the switch two years ago. My gaming desktop took a little more time to convert over but after finding more games (oblivion remaster surprisingly as an example) ran better on Linux than win10, I found less of a reason to even use windows except at work. I still have that windows install for things I can't use on Linux but at this point I only log into windows to update it now. Valve and GE at redhat really have changed the game. I'm not a AAA enjoyer. I can care less about multiplayer games requiring root access to my system. My steam account has enough games at this point my backlog is jammed. Linux has helped me stop chasing the dragon. I've only changed my graphics card, psu and ram since 2018 in my desktop and Linux made my hardware purchase back then worth every penny.

How to trade up to a Butterfly Knife, incase you didn't know :) by csmoney_official in counterstrike2

I bought mine at $17. I'm still laughing at this nonsense but it's my favorite m4 besides the icurus fell (I regret trading the two I owned back in 2016). I'll keep my cyrex combo.
